For the settings on the respawn rate, low if you're trying to finish something and don't want interrupted (and turn the hardness level down to low, too). Ignor normal. It really just makes them appear at the most inopportune of times. Turn everything on often/hard if you want to train. Just make sure to watch out for those spyders!

When killing drakes, watch for ones stuck in glitches: often they can't move or attack. But you also have to be careful not to move too much, otherwise the program will correct the problem. I have killed four drakes so far, my first one in Arindale. It made the mistake of flying just a little too close. They are worth from around 250k to 350k experience. Great for leveling up skills that have become costly.

If you're using lockpicks on treasure chests, make sure you use the master locks sparingly. I have recieved only 12 of them from drops. In any case, if the % is less than 75 with regular lockpicks, you probably shouldn't mess with it. You have to have a careful eye and a steady hand otherwise.

Use at least two save slots!
Have one main save slot and a second one for dungeon areas.
There is at least one bug in this game that will cause you to be forever stuck in a dungeon or at least unable to complete it. With a second save at least you can start the dungeon over again.

Save often, especially if you have something that might pop up in the background: you're computer will automatically switch to the other program, causing dungeon lords to freeze.

Also, don't use a wireless mouse,if you have the ability not to, especially if you spend lots of time playing. You can never be quite sure when it will quit on you, and being unable to fight can really put a stop to the fun.

Be careful not to accidentally sell your equipped Armor and Weapons!

When you go to the trade screen, these items show up in your inventory along with everything else you are carrying. If you're not paying attention you can find that your character is pantless (happened to me last night - time to restore! lol!)

Equipped weapons and armor all have a yellow border... Dont sell it if its yellow!

Endless Nether Katals!

You may have noticed that the Apothecarys have a VERY limited selection of Nether Katals... But your selection while much broader is VERY limited... Solution?

Sell ONE of your katals and buy back as many of it as you want! Repeat with each of your RARE Katals.

Combine this with the spell selling and you are now a Nether Katal LORD!

If you just got the game be advise there is a patch out 1.01 and another one coming soon. And even though the game has some missing features, the game is fun to play.
