Zaalbar isn't bad at all if you get him good melee weapons. He has TONS of HP and fantastic strength, which means good melee accuracy as well as damage. His only real drawback is his horrible AC due to being unable to wear armor. In that specific situation, though (Manaan 1st planet after Dantooine, and probably not very rich or well equipped) the Jedi would be more useful. Decently equipped, though, Zaalbar can stand up to Dark Jedi just fine.

Good to know. Incidentally, that same Sith base provded me with a nice +3 blade which Zaalbar now wields.

I think I'm starting to get the hang of this game.

Use Canderous instead of Zaalbar, he can wear armor, hit well, and has a more... vibrant personality.

Pretty soon you'll realize it's easy, and you'll increase the difficulty.
