Blech, the amount of stuff that was left out of KOTORII was disgusting. Bioware should've made it.

I would say that's because Consoles are the same, as in, all playstations are the same, whereas, One persons PC may have this graphics card, with this driver set, and another users may have completely different stuff.
Also, consoles are far more limited than PC's so content is always different in some way to a PC version.

I agree, Deus Ex will allways be remembered, as will Deus Ex , but for a different reason. I dont think Deus Ex 2 was all that bad, its just that people wanted a flashy new version of the original, and when the game came out without certain features that the original had, they hated it....
Then again, there were ALOT of problems with the game.......

Hmm, I suppose there is alot more money in the console area, and we can all see that EA is in it for the money.
Sure they make good games, and have great support, but they have also ruined quite alot of games and companies that would have released good games.
I just hope they dont screw up the new Command & Conquer

I never saw a console game that had half it's ingame content uncompleted either.
Considering you can't patch a console game, the game developers probably test them thouroghly to make sure there's no bugs, at least not any that would make the game unplayable. I suppose they would have to recall all games otherwise. If there's a bug in a PC game, the game developers can always fix it with a patch.

What Hyvetyrant said about all consoles of the same brand being the same (containing the same tech) most likely plays a part to to make console games bug free.

It's the main reason why consoles are strong, they are standardised..

You don't have to future proof a console product, and you don't have to put in legacy support.. The things that make PC games harder to produce..

I'm not worried, this happens from time to time, just this time it's hitting all types of games, niche gamers have been though this before and good games have come after the barren winter.

Not really much...but new companies composed of great developers from dead companies are sprouting all the time~, just because the company is dead doesnt mean the developers who worked in it will stop making games
That's not an excuse. I said only hardware/software compatibility problems are acceptable. Not coding bugs.

The majority of the bugs in PC video games are not because of the parts in your computer, they are because or crappy coding and no playtesting.

They show their hypocrisy with console games. They test those, but somehow, because pc games can be patched, it's ok to release a broken half completed product.

And what's worse is that companies are now starting to refuse to even release a patch to fix their piece of crap.
