bards tale is one of the games which im waiting for as well .

and correct with all of these games. it would take you at least 3 months non-stop playing to finish all of those . by then, new rpg games would have come out .

I think the best so far is Betrayal at Krondor. This has everything a good rpg should have. This is early 3d pionnered in 1993.
Has weapon and armour that takes damage and needs tobe repaired thru your weapon or armourcraft skills.
Other skills used, stealth, scouting, barding, haggling, lockpicking, crossbow meleedefence and accessment. Finally there is casting for spell user, your spells may not alwasys work 100% of the time. All skills cna increase with use and practice.

All The player characters stats are based on strenght, health, stamia and speed.

Magic spells are drawn from the mage character's stamina or through an object. Once a spellcaster uses a spell the casters stamina is reduced. Ther are magic items also which have there own powers.

The one drwback of the game is the number of characters you control, two or three at one time and it is limited to the cast of the game.

This wonder can be still downloaded free on the web. To find out were go to topic Betrayal at Krondor in this forum.

I agree with SuperChief, Betrayal at Krondor is by far one of the best games for PC--as far as gameplay and story goes. The graphics and sounds are now dated but are still functional. This is an awesome game that any fan of fantasy would like.

Also, make sure it is Betrayal at Krondor and not Return to Krondor. BaK was awesome, RtK was not.

The Gothic games are fun as well--better than Morrowind in my opinion. But they do take a little while to get used to.
