Sorry, but if I were the head of Blizzard and someone did that I wouldn't go shut them down, I would go hurt them. Blizzard could have done a whole lot more, including Copyright violations, million-dollar fines and jail time. What did they do? They just ordered it shut down.

For what..? Encouraging people to buy your game? Making no money on ideas you stole first? Using the word "Craft"? And I'm sure you're right, they could'a done more, just as they should'a done less.

IMO, Blizzard is the best gaming company of them all. As much as I know, both Warcraft and Diablo affected gaming greatly, Warcraft giving pointers to RTS games that were released after it, Diablo more or less created its genre, Action RPG!

Didn't Ion Storm make the System Shock games and Thief 3 as well? I think it puts them on the plus side. [/QUOTE]Nope that was Looking Glass Inc. Ionstorm have only made Thief 3 of those games and they have hired former LG folks to do the job making Thief 3!

[/QUOTE]The Ion Storm team that made Deus Ex is some 80% of Looking Glass, and Romero was thankfully kicked off the project. Romero's team did Daikatana, and most of those guys made Deus Ex 2, which is why it sucked. Now the team that mae the first Deus got together with Spector again and started making Thief 3, with rumours of a Deus Ex 3 somewhere. ANd no, Romero is not in any way involved in that project [img]smile.gif[/img]
