having strength over around 5 or so is a waste as well since you get power armor eventualy which will raise your strength considerably
also for the unarmed character there are power gloves which make you punch *really* hard
i like to make finess chars who are very lucky; choice of weapon i tend to go for rifles or unarmed. it generally works out pretty good since the critical hits come often enough that if i lose a fight i can retry for better critical hits and the win.

unarmed i actually the best to choose. A power kick to the eyes are easy criticals, and a critical to the eyes does TONS of damage, either kills them or blinds them. If you wanna make ALOT of money, do boxing.

Below one of the casinos has a locker in the basement that has a pair of plated gloves. These do TONS more damage in the ring

Those items are not necessary though, if your unarmed skill is good.

Unlike RL boxing... you can hit anywhere... so just keep poking them in the eye.

Most weapons have an option for you to "aim" with it. Right-click on your weapon's image to alternate between normal shot, and aimed shot.

For unarmed, it is actually possible to have 4 different kinds of hand attacks.

Spears have 3 different attacks, because they can be thrown too.
