Shockwave was always my favorite even though you really didn't get to see him much. Other than that Optimus, or the revised Transformer Star Fighters from the Movie. I don't recall what they were called. I would be very interested in the game those shots looked pretty sweet.

Well, I tried the ps2 demo at work and it looks very nice, just like the posted screenshots, but the controls were killing me. Aiming was very sluggish and the driving controls made me feel like the grass I was driving on was slick as ice. The only 'bot playable in the demo was the sports car one, I forget the name.

Hopefully the full game with it's broader selection of 'Robots in disguise' to choose from makes up for this.

Oh, and I think the game is due out in June, IIRC.

Doh! [img]tongue.gif[/img] Hotshot! Sorry! I'm 30 and haven't played with Tranformerssince I was 10 or 11 so excuse my ignorance and blame it on my elderlyness.

My co-worker really liked the game and took me to task for bitching about the controls. So, I tried the demo again and it got better and better. It kinda grew on me. Now I cant wait for this game.

Talk about your sleeper hits! The reviews have been great and "Edge" magazine loves it!

I'm actually contemplating buying a PS2, just for this game...of course I am sort of bias being a massive transformers fan.

This game is based in the Armada (cartoon) universe, so no Generation 1 characters like Soundwave, Sixshot, Thundercracker,Ironhide and Co won't make an appearance. You can only control three characters, and there are no secret characters to unlock, just Red-alert, Hot-shot and Optimus Prime.

Autobot-Ironhide
Decepticon-Swindle (The one robot black market, member of the combaticons, the jeep )

If you are a fan of the transformers I recommend you pick up the new comic series' by Dreamwave revolving around the Transformers. Armada, The War within (incredible), and Generation 1, each of them are pure gold!

My friends think I'm dedicated to my hobby (I can recite nearly every Transformer and their personality traits in generation 1, all 300-odd of them), not sad. I beg to differ!

Watch out for the new movie btw, due 2006.
