You can take along every companoin you want, the game will make up some sort of roleplaying excuse. Dont worry about alignment-conflictions for the better part of the game.

And yes, Dark side only items should have been more. That thing you put on your head with +10stealth and fire res, how is that gonna compare to 2x +5 wisdom for light side?

I think killing Malak was one of the most easy thing in the game i destroyed all the Jedis that is captured and then i run around all the time and trow the lightsaber on him so he died in no time easy as hell lol but the hordes of Dark Jedi's in Starforge was the hardest spot in this brilliant game

I concur . Some of the toughest opponents are the hordes of Dark Jedis in the Star Forge and also Dark Brandon (I met him in Tatooine). My party was killed several times during the encounter with Dark Brandon because he keeps sucking up vitality like a vacuum cleaner.

As for the Dark Jedis in the Star Forge, I was forced to abandon Jolee and Juhani to flee away from the combat to recuperate. Come to think of it, the AI is kind of stupid. I mean, look at them, with barely enough health left and no more force points whatsoever and they are running off to engage the enemy... I wasn't aware that Jedis are trained to be suicide fighters as well.

Plus, if you are taking too much damage from Malak, you could always run (disengage from combat) around and heal at your own sweet time.

I read from a FAQ somewhere that if you turn to the dark side, you will loose Juhani and Jolee. Since these are the two companions that I mostly use in the later part of the game, loosing them would means that I am at a huge disadvantage; not to mention that all those cool lightsabre crystals that I acquired would be gone to waste...

Paladin: yeah, you do lose jolee and juhani, in a most refreshing way I might add But I never cared for them at that point anyway, since I was dark. Jolee is a very cool character, had a lot of fun with him. Im rather dissappointed that you couldnt get juhani to go over to the dark side again. The way she looks up at you, you might think it was no problem, especially after dantooine was destroyed. Oh well, cant have'em all

By the way, how come master Vandar didn't get killed in that attack? Dantooine was destroyed after all. Can't imagine the little guy getting out.

Zuvio: Oh, thanks for clearing that up for me. BTW, the Star Forge area is insanely difficult without Juhani and Jolee.

Link: You under estimate the power of the light side. Obviously those Jedis already had escape pods hidden in the Jedi enclave.

Uh.. I cleared the Starforge area with Jolee dying 24/7 and Carth saving my life more than once. I was doing the dirty work, of course, but it was doable without both Juhani and Jolee.

I supposed you could find a way to without them (Jolee and Juhani) two but three Jedis taking turns to do Force Wave is a sight to behold.

A tip for the Star Forge: use your companions to take the hits and then uberspeed to a next re-spawn are, wait for your companions to rejoin you after the coast is clear (use solo-tactics) and repeat !
