I agree with you to some extent.

Rikku is fairly weak when she first joins your party, compared to your other characters. Her attack and defense are terrible, but a bit of levelling up fixes that pretty quickly. Her Use and Steal abilities are given to her straight away, and as you progress through the game, these abilities, especially her Steal ability become very useful in the customising of weapons and armour. Once the other characters in your party learn these abilities, yes, she becomes useless. When I played FFX, I hardly used Rikku, with my starting 3 characters being: Tidus, Auron and either Lulu or Kimahri.

Who of you FFX players defeated Penance? I can count myself one of those lucky-ones [img]graemlins/biglaugh.gif[/img] T'was an epic fight which took me slighly less then 2 hours to finish, but it was well worth it. I actually felt a sense of pride when I did it [img]graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

Agreed, although Zanmato LvL 5 is required. So I hope you've been nice to 'ol Yojimbo

And anyway, the sport is to beat the guy fair and square without Zanmato. That's the real kick. And you'll find out that Penance has some nasty attacks which work a little more against you then any other boss would do.

And BTW: sorry bout the location: talk to Cid after you've beaten all the Dark Aeons....

Umm....Dark Aeons? Where do they occurr? Are you talking about Belgemine's Aeons? Or are they enemies fought within Sin?

Dark Aeons are only found in the International and PAL versions of FFX.

Basically, they are incredibly difficult aeons (possessed by dark summoners) scattered across the game. They look the same as normal aeons just with darker textures.

No on both occassions

Try going back to the 'Home' of the Al-Bhed, at the end of the desert. Or follow the Mushroom Rock Road again. Or go back to besaid... Be a little creative and you'll find all eight of them!

BTW, do you have the Sun Crest already after you've beaten Yunalesca? If not, go get it at the arena where you fought Yunalesca .... and probably die
