Hey great, I'm gonna try that tonight. You really mean buckmoth, not moonmoth? It's quite a bit away, but I'm gonna try for sure

Thanks and Cheers

Yes, it's Moonmoth that's the closer fort to Balmora. I looked on my map on the wall. Sorry about that.

WOOOOOHHOOOOOOO!!!!!!

Got it all back Really, I'm sooo glad, it's worth so much, and I really want to start enchanting stuff... Tell y'a, I'll never talk to these bozos again... ok, maybe, but I'll take care of my "possessions" from now on *G* What's a good place to store 'em? I used to keep my stuff downstairs in the mage guild in balmora, is that a good place for such things?

Thank & Thanks & Thanks
Philipp

yeah, thats a good place, but just leave it on the tables in the area behind the screens, dont risk putting it in a crate. another option, once you get high enough in one of the great houses, is to invest the 5000-10000 septims required to have them build you a house. then you can store anything you want in your bedroom... i have close to 2 million worth of stuff just piled on the floor in there.

BTW, first thing i would do is create a decent weapon with soul trap for 3 seconds in 2 feet and whatever fire damage you can put on it... use a quality weapon and a good soul gem, then use this weapon to capture more souls. its much better than those glass soul daggers, which dont do didly for damage, this way you get the soul AND damage.

um....... ill just teach you in the ways of paying your fine, without your stuff being taken: grab the stuff. run. hide. drop the stuff and remember where you put it. go talk to a guard and pay your fine. go to the hiding place and grab your stuff

I think if you have a high enough rank, you can pick the lock on the chest and get your stuff, and the guards won't care.

Near the beginning of the game, in the quest about the tax collector guy, you have the option of killing the guy who killed the tax collector. I killed him, and kinda use his shack as my house, since there isn't anyone else in there. I bought some bowls and candles, and stacked them on top of each other, then took all of them except for the last one, which would be floating, and put a candle in it to make things kinda like the light fixtures at restaurants. Kinda fun to see what you can do in Morrowind with random items.

no, you can never pick the evidence chest locks and just get away with it without the stealing, as its a crime, and therefore tarnishes your career as an imperial soldier.

Uhh, really? I thought I did just that, I was out of sight for that woman, and nobody complained... Does that still make my carreer in that field impossible? I'd hate it... well, I'll have to check, who's the one to talk to about that? Sorry, I'm german, my game is german, there are 2 possibilities for "imperial soldier" I see...

Cheers

pyrates, if the woman couldnt see you, then that is why you did not get into trouble for opening the crate. i think i understand what you mean now, when you said "high enough rank"... you were referring to having a high enough sneak skill, not a rank in one of the guilds.

coincidently, i'm in germany right now too. its great.
