that's good at least it means I'm not going mad. Well, it's not conclusive I suppose . Ok have managed to download a couple of mods. (Don't faint). I have even managed to get them to show up when I go to Data Files on Morrowind start menu - however I can't seem to check/cross the boxes next to them, and I assume they won't load unless I do that?? Sorry for being thick. [img]smile.gif[/img]

make sure the mods .esp file ( and all other file except the readme file ) is in your morrowind data folder. In the games Data File menu you need to check it so that the mod will appear in your game.

it's working! I have a lovely house now! Thanks for all the help! I had not put all the files into the data file folder but had tried to be tidy and made my own "plug-in" folder - which didn't work, obviously! I really hope it wasn't double-clicking, Stratos, otherwise my pc should be confiscated! Anyway, now I'm up and running (well, toddling) anybody know where I can get the Giants mod for free? [img]smile.gif[/img]

Just search a bit for it on Google, i'm sure something will pop up. I read on some other forum that morrowindfiles.com was hacked by someone, but they're working on a comeback. Remember that name, everything you want is there, for free.

Btw, which house did you get ? The Vivec residence ?

thanks Kakero - I am actually downloading from fileplanet as I write as the waiting time was only 14 mins. Taking ages to download though! I will keep the pumaman site and morrowindfiles in my favourites and check back on them, so thanks to all you guys for that. BTW for any other first time modders out there, fileplanet is a bit confusing, you have to click on logon under members in order to join up for free, if you click on download without doing that it only gives you the paying options.

I am excited about collecting all the stuff I have piled up all over Vvardenfell and hoarding it in one place. I love stashing stuff, I have a horrible suspicion I am actually half woman, half magpie. [img]smile.gif[/img] Come to think of it there's probably a mod for that particular creature - I expect it's someone's idea of perfection?
