Question Mark

Kat

what are your system specs and game settings? Morrowind needs a very powerful machine to with most of the "eye candy" options turned on. If you are crashing during fights (lots of calculations) you may be under powered.

Hmmmm...I don't know what my system specs are! Is there a way I can find out?

I do need a new computer (mine is virtually famous for the amount of times it crashes, and now the sound card's buggered too) but my mum HAD to book herself a week in Amsterdam instead

I know that my dad when he was still here looked over Morrowind and said that he thought it would be "okay" on my system....

go to my compyuter, go to C: folder, go to programs files folder , go to DirectX folder , go to setup folder and double click dxdiag. wait for it to load and your computer info will be on the first page.

I believe their other way to find out but it escape my mind at the moment.

From the Start button ... -> Settings -> Control Panel. Click System.
The general tab will give you Windows version, IE version, processor speed, and system memory.

On the Harware Profiles tab, select properties. Expand the Sound Card tree to find out your sound card, and the Graphics Card tree to find your video card. You will see a bunch of other stuff here but that is not important at the moment.

hmm..I believe win 2k isn't made for gaming. you'll probably need a win98se or me or a winXP.

do you mean you got a 764 mb RAM ? then you should be okay. with 764 kb RAM you cannot even run anything. let alone a win2k.

then again you should be able to play the game without too many inconveneince. just save as you play.

It might be Win2k, I use it and I also have the random crash issue. I've found its less common if I kill everything running in the background.

You can run Rome on 640k a day. (Now who gets this?)

Your processor is on the low side, unless you have a GeForce4 or an ATI Radeon 8500 or better - turn all of the graphics options for the game DOWN! It still looks pretty good, but you won't get the eye candy.
