It's actually more "cost effective" to use a combination of damage health on touch and restore health on self since you can do them both with minimal duration and the effect is essentially permanent (unlike absorbing wich returns the absorbed points to the rightfull owner after the duration). As an added bonus, you'll still get a partial benefit even if your target resists magic.

I have a daedric longsword which I had enchanted since I wasn't very good at it. It does somewhere in the range of 1-50ish chop/slash etc. and is enchanted to do 5-25 electrical damage with 150 charges. A couple of hacks on most foes does 'em in.... 5 or 6 on the tougher ones...

i have a daedric one handed long sword, which is sweet when you carry a shield, alone it does 1-44 damage, but i had it enchanted with fire damage (75-76 point damage), it cost me $25000 to enchant, but I have yet to fight someone who can take more than three blows, I think I found it in the canalworks in the foriegn quarters in vivec.

I also enchanted an Imperial Longsword with Absorb Health. I found it very useful for when I was of a lower level and attempting to raise my longsword skill. Very usefull if you don't want to cream things with more than one or two blows. Very handy against deseased rats/cliff racers............

Well, I have a level 111 Redguard Battlemage and the best weapon i have ever seen or made in the game is a deadric katana with restore fatigue 1-100 points and shock damage 1-67 points. With that weapon I was able to kill Dagoth Ur in about 4-7 shots, not including the 3 when you first see him.
But recently my favorite weapon has got to be the Bow of Shadows with a marksman skill of 100. I dunno, there's something about wearing constant effect shoes of levitate while picking off animals, birds, and other enemies. Maybe its cuz Legolas kicks A$$!!

i just use little short blades and every once in a while i spell or so some times i use a last wish but mostly little weak short blades becaue i made a guy who starts out with a 68 short blade
