The first thing you need to do is contact HP and ask if it can even be upgraded, if it can, find out how.

One of the things that major computer manufacturers do is put a little code or hardware into their systems that will make it not work with anything that isnt supplied by them. This of course is where they make their money, in upgrades, and they can now overcharge almost all they want.

A good card for that machine would be a Geforce2/3 TI or a Kyro II(i dont like ati). I have a KYRO II in my athlon xp 1.8+ and its quite nice(though no GF 4, it performs similar to the lower end GF 3's). Either of those options should yeild the best results (you will not get the best results out of a gf4, because your cpu is not fast enough) with the minimal cost. IF you can do it outside of HP, it should cost about 50-100 dollars ( ) if you have to do it through HP have no clue what they may charge you ( )

If you have any more questions after you contact HP give stick a post on the board and ill reply as soon as i can.

Also, the next time your out looking for games, check the minimum system requirements, which include a 32MB video card(yours is 12 i believe)

Off topic of vid cards but...
If you tweak your morrowind.ini file you can stop alot of the crashes.
Change Max fps 240 - to something like 60. I changed mine to 80.
Interior cell buffer 10 change to 32
Exterior cell buffer 32 change to 64
Or higher if you have the ram.
This helped me out alot. I have almost no crashes to desktop now.
For any newbies out there, don`t mess with this file unless you know what you are doing. If the changes are not made exactly you can really mess up your game.
