Purple calmly packed his cards again and found a pocket to stash them in, then stood up, "Why yes, I am on the side of the line that's going to be alive when this is over," he looked at the other side's forces, then at what had joined him so far, "Looks like we're truly calling the best and brightest to our side."

He fixed his gaze on the card-stomper, "As for you, normally I would just kill you on my way to your master, but in this case I think I'll save you for later. Your death will not be swift." He finished the sentence with a thin smile.

The Mage smirked as he watched these new initiates take the stage, one for each side of the opposing forces. He spoke a word, "silla", and a chair fashioned from the Shadows was born into existance.

The Mage sat down and looked to he who speaks in the Green.

"And you must want whatever reward I am willing to offer for your services, or you'd be over there with the others, am I right? "

An approach from the South brings a shadowy figure. Is it bipedal, or the wind blowing tricks? Out from the shadow itself appears a feliness figure. One of which with massive shoulders, that supports a large maw.
It takes in three deep breathes from its overly large nostrils, and tastes the air with its tongue.
It speaks. The wind before me is filled with both good and evil. But part of the good is not as good as the other. The evil, however, brews deep.
It speaks in general; What tale has been told to bring to the field a challenge?
What is thine bounty to the survivor of the field?
The omnivore kneels back into the shadows and awaits.

To this new, monsterous arrival the Mage speaks.

"The tale is old, inquiring creature, and too long to relate. Let it suffice to say that when boredom threatens those of good alignment, they suddenly become interested in destroying something without damaging their reputation score. That's where I come in. They seek me out, because I am the only worthy opponent on the Forums. They come to my Domain and seek glory and adventure and to rid themselves of said boredom.

I shall speak nothing specific of any rewards for services rendered to this side, other than what I have already stated, that you must be willing to accept what I hand you upon proof of your worth. Just keep in mind who I am and what I can offer as opposed to what limits are naturally upon the other side's offers. Since I need no one to aid me in any fight, it will take a lot for you to prove that you are worth the trouble of a reward."

A fairly nondescript man limped towards the stage where the battle was to take part. Apart from his aged appearance, the limp in his left leg, his appearance was altogether ordinary. Ordinary height, ordinary weight, white hair touching his shoulders. His greyish blue eyes however had a glowing intensity to them. Left foot on one side of the dividing line drawn by the mage, right on the other he stopped, standing perfectly still. He glanced to the side of the one of shadow.

"Un juez fue llamada y un juez ha llegado. Yo soy aqui para que las reglas sean respetadas."

He then turned to the other side, where the forces opposing the Mage of Shadow were gathered.

"A judge was called and a judge has come. I am here so that the rules are respected."

Glancing at the line in the middle, he continued speaking in the common tongue so that everyone understood him.

"Rules of engagement have been requested and they shall be given once combatants have arrived."

His gaze swept over the two sides and he shifted his weight from his weak foot. His gaze then rested on the demarcation line.

Neutrality, absolute neutrality was the key here.

The omnivore intently listens to the mage.

It speaks to the others, gathered across a charred line in the Earth, from the mage. What say yee, what hath brought thine flesh here to lose all future kin on this unholy ground? What bounty does thee offer to the victor? What does thee offer for services rendered?

There was no such thing as neutrality, Purple knew that, there were just people who had yet to be made a good enough offer by either side, or people who didn't outright tell you who they were allied with. This man had been summoned by the mage, either he was someone who could be bribed, or an obstacle that needed to be eliminated.

Finding little purpose in posturing, he walked a bit away from the line, found large rock to sit on and started sorting his gear. He wasn't quite wielding the same skills or weapons as last time battle was joined. This was, of course, to his advantage, since his opponents would be prepared to counter those, not the new things he was bringing to the field.

It contemplates the message of neutrality. Muses with the incomprehensible meaning of no such thing. It lets out a snorting chuckle.

Hmm, the old man is pure, and simple. Not a threat to the power of any mage, much less the mage. Yet his dress allows he has substance, and no need for more.

It speaks as it departs the field of battle. Forces of good, heed thy warning, not all that is on the line is pure, nor is all that of good. Some amongst you are of chaos, and are not purely aligned. Given the opportunity, one may break and take to advantage oneself. Ensure your armor of rear facing is as adequate as that as your front. As it moves along, it checks it's pouch, which contains two orbs of pure neutrality, one orb of law, and one of truth.

"Le confío en juez. No confío en el otro. Adiós".

Purple stifled a yawn as the potential battlefield remained empty, then yelled at the referee, "Hey, nameless mysterious arbiter of everything!" He waited for a response, "Yes, you. Look, this fight looks like it's going to be a a bit quiet, so what are the rules on bringing friends? I know some good men who are just itching for a fight."

The jock groaned. He crossed his arms and looked around, waiting impatiently for the rules to be read so he could slam this "shadow nerd" into a locker. He reached behind himself and pulled out a football and looked over at the Purple One.

"Dude, wanna play catch?"
