"What about the modding mage? Crap, Sir Morgeruat could be controlled by the modding mage's work. I hope its not that, for when evil is plaguing someone's body, it can't be good." Sir Jorlon starts reading through a book called "Ala lempth cursioe"

(I fear I might be overusing Morgeruat's character, but it's going to be so difficult to continue without doing that...
![]() "The Modding Mage," hissed Sir Morguerat again, clenching his fists. "He it was who devastated the land with his vile magic. Now I swear to put an end to his evil by procuring the mystic stone of H'rrrK A'ckm'Yh'Ead, which will turn the tables decisively against him." "Stone of H'rrrK A'ckm'Yh'Ead?" muttered the mage. What is this stone he spoke of? Rufus searched his mind, but could recall nothing. Perhaps his master would know, or perhaps one or more of the tomes in their library would shed light on the matter. Then Rufus turned to look at Sir Jorlon. "Oh, what are you reading, Sir?"

"The symptoms show that this isn't a illness or anything bad. It is an intolerable hatred from the evil side of the mind. Every body has an evil part, generally it comes up through an intoleratrable hatred, which he is showing, he has pure evil for a bit. Hopefully it will die out soon." OOC>When will Morgurat return, I hope he isn't ill.

(I hope Morgeruat's fine, too. Think I'll RP his character for now -- I believe he'll understand...)
"It's true," muttered Sir Morguerat upon hearing what Sir Jorlon said. (I presume Sir Jorlon said it out rather than just thinking? ![]() Rufus laid his hands on Sir Morguerat's shoulders. "There, there," said Rufus, "don't get too upset. I'm sure we'll eventually find a way to restore your homeland. Look, why don't we come to my house as soon as we are done with our refreshments? I'm sure my master will be pleased to meet you all, and will be more than willing to help with your quests. He likes paladins!"

Little did they know that just outside their campsite, a an owl was perched on a limb listening intently to their coversation. Far away deep within a long forgotten castle a shadowy figure was staring in a pool watching the whole scene from the eyes of the owl. The figure thought "So they are searching for the lost stone of H'rrrK A'ckm'Yh'Ead. Very interesting. Hmm, I wonder what this could mean. If they find it, how could it effect the balance. I better keep an eye on this developement."

IC> "When I am done with my quest and Morguruat's quest, I will aid you, Rufus, in your quest to help your lands, I promise. AH, i expect my fellow traveler's to be here in 5 hours, good." Sir Jorlon speaks suddenly about the party arrival. "I've just got a sign through my pendant that they will be arriving soon, and they know our path if we leave." |

OOC>Welcome back Morguruat, hope you had an excellent wedding
IC> Sir Jorlon decided to get up and stretch. As he was stretching, he see's a stout dwarf walking with a tall human mage. "Ah, Khadgar and StoneRock finally arrived! Hello good friends, I haven't seen you guys since the battle with OmegaDeath and his undead army." "Aye, it's good to see ya again, me friend. I have rebuilt the Holy Order of Aerie, but that doesn't matter. Aye now, who be this human?" StoneRock says "Yes, who is this man. By the looks of it, he posses magical blood." Khadgar interjects. "OH, this is my friend Rufus, I'm helping him and Morguruat find the Stone H'mk A'ckm'Yh'Ead. They have become good friends." "But what about Annihalium? You said you needed our help looking for it." "I did, didn't I StoneRock. But these lands, are slowly being destroyed by evil, and I have agreed to help destroy the Modding Mage." Sigh, "You always must insist on helping people, We'll help too" Khadgar says. |

Rufus noticed the strangers and stood up to greet them.
"Allow me to introduce you to each other, my friends," said Sir Jorlon, face beaming with delight. "This is StoneRock. And this is Khadgar, a mage of great erudition." "How do you do, friends," said Rufus with a smile, shaking hands with the dwarf and the tall wizard. "I'm Rufus, the student and adopted son of the archmage Magnus Viridinus." Khadgar's eyes widened. "Magnus Viridinus!" he cried, gripping Rufus by a shoulder. "So you're his adopted son!" "Uhhh... Well, yes, I am..." replied Rufus. "You know my master?" "Yes!" replied Khadgar with enthusiasm. "How's your master? We've been colleagues for years at the Jefferson College of Magic! I can still remember how he always excelled in the concoction of potions," recalled Khadgar fondly, "though of course I'm the expert when it comes to enchanting weapons and armor!" "I'm sure I could profit immensely from your knowledge, Sir," said Rufus with a grin, "if you would be willing to share it." "For sure," replied Khadgar. "You know of the Fire Aura of Brihaspati? Awesome spell, this. You take a weapon and cast this spell on it, and it will be constantly wreathed in magical fire, allowing one who uses the weapon to inflict greater injury upon his foes. The spell can be cast at four levels of potency, but it can only be cast on bladed weapons -- " "You'll never change, Khadgar," chided StoneRock, shaking his head. "You always get carried away. Don't mind this old man," he continued, turning to Rufus. "He's so old he's getting a bit senile --" "StoneRock, I'm warning you..." growled Khadgar, pointing a long, gaunt finger at him. "There, there," cut in Sir Jorlon, "there's no need to quarrel! We're all friends, aren't we? Come, let's come inside the tent and help ourselves to some refreshments first." As they stepped inside the tent, Sir Jorlon's friends noticed a strange man in armor, sitting down quietly in a corner with gaze turned downwards. "Who is he?" muttered StoneRock. Sir Morguerat's gaze turned up to meet theirs. "Greetings, strangers," he said softly with a tired smile. [ 04-05-2002, 04:25 AM: Message edited by: K T Ong ]

Hello, I would like to thank you for joining me in my quest, Rufus, Stonerock, Sir Jorlon, and Khadgar, as you may know the Stone of H'rrrK A'ckm'Yh'Ead is a powerful artifact, a scowl crossed the noble Paladins face for a moment and the next words were strained with hatred and laced with loathing you may also recall that I have been in the service of the Modding Mage for a few months now, and my distaste for his evil is overpowering, I could only barely conceal it from him, I hope now that other matters are keeping his attention from spying on my doings. My Brother Paladins of the Order of Keldorn have fallen into his clutches whiel I was away adventuring, and have been turned into monkeys with the exception of our leader and one or two other knights. Realizing that I could do nothing myself by opposing him I joined his service for a time, in hopes of undermining his strength from within, I've been altering his enchantments, turning his army into monkeys and restoring the paladins and disguizing them as Trolls and Spammers, to my knowledge he knows not of this change, but even with his army gone there is not enough power to stop his evil. I have faith Sir Byronas is doing his best but I fear it won't be enough. The pommelstone will hopefully be enough to save us all

ooc: Just a brief visit from the LOF thread.
![]() Nothing moves through the air quite like the notes of paladin’s voice speaking of matters such as these. The resonant tones of Morgeruat’s voice reach other ears as well, ears that have lingered close at hand since those days he had left the lands of the One who Mods on this most sudden and unusual journey. Having heard him speak, the crow, one bird among the many here, looks skyward and rises in flight swiftly riding the moving air to bear this news to the one who sent it forth from the stormy mountains. |
