Glorfindel
The city of Evitan, outside the Bulwark Inn ~Your sorrows and wonders are interrupted by a confident young voice and an impact to your knee.~ "Glori!!" ~You look down to see a little high-elven girl. You recognized the little one as 'Tallulah', and couldn't help but smile. Tallulah looks up at you with a genuine smile.~ "Glori, Glori, Glori!" ~She bounces enthusiastically, her pale golden pig-tails bobbing.~ "You've got to help me hide! Lily's gonna find me!" ~She looked over her shoulder quickly then turned back to you.~ "It's hide n' go seek, Lily's gonna find me!" [ 01-18-2002: Message edited by: Killing Spree ] |

Serinaquei~~~
"I'm outta here." Crystal shouted over her shoulder as she tossed down the sodden bar rag and approached the door. Her skirts, redolent with the mixed scents of braising meat and spilt ale rustled against the last few stools. "Aye, and be careful on the streets, girl. There be rogues about!" Crystal smiled at the routine admonishment, knowing it to be a sign of affection rather than a doubt of her ability to take care of any problem that should arise. But to reassure the barkeep, she fondly patted the bodice knife she always carried as well as checking the daggers strapped to her thighs under the skirts. Never leave home without some of your sharp, pointy toys she thought. Entering the cool late night, she took a deep breath of the fresh air. The streets were usually quiet at this time, with only a few tarts peddling their wares to the late night tavern dwellers. Ocassionally a thief would indeed snatch a purse, but Crystal was on a first name basis with most of them in Serinaquei and none dared accost her. She headed to the eastern quarter where her own home was nestled well away from any tavern or rough dwellings. As the house came into view, she loosed a sigh of contentment. While not palacial, it was a trifle large for a single woman and surrounded by trees and flowering vines along the fence. She let herself in and immediately began to strip clothes off in anticipation for a long bubble bath. She unbound her hair from its plait and allowed it to fall down her back. It was as she was waiting for the tub to fill that she noticed the parchment on the table......Looks like I may have to dust off the old armor and sharpen my swords she thought as she glanced at the wording briefly.

quote: OOC- of course it does! havent you ever heard the saying, "curiosity killed the elf"? er, or did it go.... or maybe... ohwell, no matter. ^_^ hehe --- IC- "Well, well, looks like im once again drawn back to the always changing city," Skye said, somewhat sarcastically. Smiling at the bewildered guards, she walked back into the city gates. Following her keen elven hearing, the strange whimpering noise led her to a place that she hadn't ever been to. "Strange, I don't recall this place," Skye thought with a slight frown. Where was this sound leading her to?

The Order in Croshent.
Garaeth eyed the order's spacious courtyard with great pride, knowing that soon he will be here often, practicing with fellow knights and the such. But something was missing, he couldn't deny it, he knew although he was to become a paladin, he wanted to be active in the upholding of Veseer's tenet's. He knew he would have to adventure. He wasn't yet sure where to go, but that was not important, wherever evil could be vanquished by his blade, he would travel. ooc: arrhhh, sounded a bit too much like Minsc on that last sentence! ooc. Im kinda out of it at the moment so bear with me ic: Dealinda accepted her role in life for what it was, kill or be killed and have fun doing it. So she accepted the pay to take care of the pesky kobold's that were menacing the farmer's of her town. The first two kobold's didnt even know what hit them, there tissue and blood splatterd the two directly in front of them. She was like a ball of fury, rolling over her enemies like a thunder clap. The two turned and were knocked off balance as she ran between them, her goal was the half orc at point. The half orc turned and grunted at her. She rolled to her left dodging a stray arrow from one the kobold's she'd just passed. The arrow missed it's mark and landed near the half orc. Dealinda took the confusion to charge straight at the half breed Flail gashing out at him. The half orc parried one spiked ball but the other two wrapped around his sword. She tugged and the half orc lost his grip on the sword. The two kobold's closed the distance thinking this was going to be easy, one dwarf versus the three of us. one kobold fell to the ground impaled by the discarded sword. The remaining kobold turned with yelp and ran off to the hill's. The half orc got a worried look on his face, weaponless and allie less he dropped to his knee's holding his hand's over his head. Dealinda paused for a moment, and then said "You will die like the half breed tumor you are" the last thing the half orc saw was dealinda's tri balled flail coming down at him. "yuck, dirty half breed scum" She turned in the direction of the fleeing Kobold and let out a bellow that echoed from every direction. The kobolf fainted in his track's |

Eastway
The day had come. It was strange, how time slipped you by ever so stealthily. Now painfully aware of the throbbing of her heart, she takes a deep breath, then another ~ Relax, Mistral... you don't have to do this, you know... ~ A furrow forms on her brow, and her lips curl slightly ~ No! I will not chicken out now! I have waited for too long! As the inner struggle continues, she closes her eyes, as if to blot out all thought. Yet peace is not what she gets. Visions and voices. Lashing out at her now, goading her... "I told you to stop that!" ~ A stinging slap across her dirt-streaked cheek ~ "Don't you understand instructions, you cursed child?!" ~ She grimaces as brutal fingers pinch her shoulders ~ "Once more time, and you're out of here!" ~ Smirks on the other youngsters' faces ~ "Why don't you just get lost, Mistral? You're not wanted anymore... hahaha..." ~ Spit rains on her crumpled face... "Witch! Stone her!" ~ An involuntary scream emits from her lips as the pebbles and stones strike her; wildly, she glances about ~ "Please, stop! I... I meant no harm... I swear..." ~ Narrowed eyes glaring at her grimly ~ "Do you deny you practise witchcraft, you heathen? Do you think it fun frightening our little ones? You wicked child!" ~ A burly man steps forward, shaking her shoulders violently ~ "But... but I was only amusing them with my lights... they... they liked it... didn't you?!" ~ In despair, she turns to her friends ~ "Tell them the truth! Please!" ~ A wave of cold fear washes over her as she sees the dangerous glint in their eyes ~ "Papa! She tried to kill us! She did! Save us!" ~ "No!!!..." ~ Blood begins to trickle from her jagged wounds, as she protests in anguish ~ "I swear... won't you believe me..." ~ A flash of blinding light, muttered oaths and suddenly, darkness and peace... "Please don't leave me, Master." ~ The weary face stares back ~ "I have to, Mistral. You are now better able to understand this gift that Ciretose has bestowed upon you. Now is the time for you to move on in life." ~ She bows, knowing nothing will ever dissuade this kindly tutor ~ "Where shall I find you, Master?" ~ Her eyes pleading with his ~ "Ciretose will guide you to me... one day, my child, one day..." The chirping of the birds outside the window draws her back to reality. She blinks twice, then packs her belongings into the duffle bag. Swinging it around her right shoulder, she then secures the sling onto her belt. Now gripping the quarterstaff with her left hand, she casts a final glance about the neat but simply furnished room and steps out of the hut. I wonder what they look like now. ~ The chestnut brown of her eyes darken as she surveys the village scene before her ~ It will be... interesting to see them once more. ~ A gentle breeze blows by, sending wisps of her shoulder-length raven hair dancing. As she continues on her leisurely amble along the path, a single word echoes in her mind. Revenge... |

Murdock
Murdock continued on through the market square, catching the eyes of few nice girls, trying not to catch the attention of thier men-escorts. He came up to a group of chattering women, all with baskets on their arms, full of fresh fruits that they had recently purchased. Feeling a bit hungry, Murdock made his way over to them and paused behind a rather large, elderly lady and as they were thus chatting away, nobody noticed a sneaky hand sneaking into that basket and grabbing a nice red apple! Passing the apple into the other hand with a quick flip, and into his larger than normal pocket, he continued on for about 20 paces more, before enjoying his prize apple. After finishing the apple, he saw a lady dancing to the music of a bard. Money was being thrown at their feet! He got a tad bit closer, watching for any large coins, and when he finally saw a young lad toss a nice big gold piece at the floor without even noticing where it landed, (he was busy watching the vuluptuous dancer), Murdock saw his queue. Pretending to see a strange thing in the air above him, he continued walking right past the dancer and up to the gold piece. Then, suddenly any on-looker saw only that it appeared that the man in a grey shirt tripped as his boot-toe was stumped on the ground, and he fell. Getting up and brushing himself off, looking around at the snickers and laughs of the onlookers, Murdock apologized to everyone and walked over to the grass at the edge of the walkway and sat down. What really happened was that his boot had kicked the gold piece into the grass, and he used the fall to cover up the movement as to appear to be an accidental trip. Now, his hand rested on his hard-won prize. It was time to visit the pub. |

![]() ![]() Crystal The City of Serenaquei, Crystal's Home ~Your muscles ache for warm water, but you hastily reach for the parchement. You expect grims tidings. At the top is the logo for the freelance tavern, "The Last Resort". You smile at the thought of your merry days past in the Northeastern inn. The words are scrawled, the author obviously had poor penmenship. This is what it says:~ Dearest Crystal, I bear grim news... The kobolds are attacking... AHHHHHH!!! Got ya, didn't I? You gullible old medusa you. How are you? Forgotten us yet? I'd wager so, I haven't gotten a letter from you in ages! We all miss you back here. Well, at least I miss you. Things are aweful dull back here without you. I guess things are great in the city eh? I'd like to hear about it. Thought of heading off myself, actually. Maybe head South t'ward Eastway. Actually, if I found I had a knack for this adventuring stuff like you I might head out to Serinaquei. Wouldn't that be a lovely surprise? Write a letter back for cripes sake! Love, Nero[/i] ~You shake your head at the written antics of your old friend. You grew up with the clever half-elf. You took bathes with him as a toddler... Whoa! You snap out of your trance. Speaking of bathes, yours is going to get cold!~ [ 01-18-2002: Message edited by: Killing Spree ] |
