The silence in the room was palpable. Neb’s voice pulled each from their thoughts. This was most disturbing news to know that they were traveling with a half demon. “I’ll tell ye later, laddy. Ye kin get yer stuff. There is something quite wrong with this building. I kin feel it in my gut”

Breanna stood and then stumbled over. She knelt and starting sobbing. “There is much evil in this very building. I know it. Paladine’s blessing upon us, but we must be on the road to the Boogre Bear’s cave. Link agreed because he sensed that something was amiss although he unconsciously cringed when he heard the name of the god.

Breanna then collected herself long enough to stand and fetch some spell components. “Hiram, please lead the way. I need you to be my eyes. I’m slowly losing my eyesight. While I still can see, let me cast some protective spells upon you. She then gesticulates and speaks in her guttural arcane language. Hiram feels nothing but knows that it makes her feel better to do that magic thing.

The three gentlebeings slowly leave the room with Breanna in tow. She follows by the sound of the armor clanking and Hiram’s grunting. The four stop when they get to the bottom of the stairs. The fetid smell of hell greets them. On the floor of the tavern is the most evil symbol known to the realms. Breanna cannot see what the males see but immediately prays a small prayer to her goddess for protection. The sight of the tavern is so gut wrenching that the group turn their heads away for a second to collect some sanity in a quite insane situation. What was left of the patrons was strewn about the bar. Burned into the wall is a message in Elvish. It says…

Before he could finish his story about his heritage, Hiram mumbled that he could feel evil all around the bar. Everyone quickly got up, and walked in, only to see the symbol, Hiram, Breanna and Neb had discovered.
"What's..." Link started, but he couldn't finish his sentence.
"It's a Symbol which opens the gateway to Hell, my friends" A cold sinister voice had spoken, and all looked around to see where it had came from. Slowly a tall figure emerged from the corner of the bar. His cloak, even darker than the darkest shadows, covered his face, so they could not see who they were dealing with.
"Who.." Breanna started to talk, but the dark figure waved his hands, and suddenly she couldn't speak anymore.
"Silence, woman" the tall man mumbled.
"Silence me butt!" Hiram exclamed," who do yer think yer are to do that!" Angry he grabbed his axe, and started to walk to the cloaked man. But before he could reach him, the man quickly wove a patern of runes in the air, and Hiram froze motionless. His arms, limbs. He couldn't move a thing.
"Stop it!" Link yelled. "What are you doing? Who are you?"
"Who I am, Ax'zoxd?"
"Indeed!" Link grew angry with the minute, but he had definitely heard what the man called him. Again that name! Ax'zoxd! Why, why now, are they calling him like that?
"My name is insignificant to you. And what I'm doing? I've came for you!" His eyes lit up red and he took off his cloak.
"You!"
"Yes I. I see you remember me."
Bewildered the rest of the group stared at Link, and back to the figure, of whom they now clearly could see he was not from this plane. His skin was dark, almost black, and he had a demonic shape. How could Link know him? What was the truth about this warrior? Could he really be trusted?
All these questions were asked by the members of the group.
"Link! Who.." Azurian wanted to ask Link what was happening here, but Link interrupted him.
"This, Azurian, is my father."
His father! This...creature, this demon was the father of Link? All stumbled back, eyes full of fear. No wonder Link was strong, no wonder he had such a powerful magic resistance.
"Your father. Yes" The demon laughed. "Indeed I am his father, Azurian. Yes, you need not look so surprised. I know all your names. Breanna.." he said and he pointed his hand at Breanna, who still couldn't speak,"..for example."
"Stop it father!" Link interrupted the demon, and in one quick move, he had drown his sword, and jumped forward. He pressed the sword against the throat of the demon, but he did nothing.
"Hahahaha! You really think you can hurt me, with that.. that needle?"
"I think I can, yes" Link mumbled and he jumped forward. All fell silent, and it seemed as if time suddenly slowed down. What would happen next?
