Coran.

He had the best lines in BG1, plus he was an awesome ftr/thf!

I love how after a tough battle he'd say "I think we all deserve a nice pat on the back...." in that laid-back surfer-dude tone

Jan has some great ones as well, like when he continually taunts Anomen about being so righteous and holier-than-thou.

If you like Kivan, get "The Darkest Day" mod for BG2, he is in it !!!

I would say Jan Jensen. He's a very unusual character for an AD@D figure, being thoughtfully written, highly whimsical, and with an intense undercurrent. His dialog is a delight.

You're all mad, mad I tell you, you've forgotten the great TIAX.Yes the funniest NPC EVER, he even had a little (sort of) song at the end of BG1. Brilliant

Kivan was a ranger. do you mean Coran by any chance the elf fighter/thief with a whooping 20 dexterity?

In all honesty I cant choose my favourite, they are all good well with a few exceptions

I think that the characters in Planescape torment are a lot better though they are a lot more thought out.

Morte is pure class.

BG1 Xzar the mad mage, love that guy.

IWD since you couldnt get anyone to join I will pick that baelorn guy from the hand of the seldarine.

Planescape Torment. Fall from Grace, cool and intelligant, a very good charecter.

BG2 probably Edwin or sarevok.
