Shield of Balduran

Thats exactly why I need it, I suffered a severe beating in the beholder lair in the underdark, now I get the shield and return to take revenge

talking about the underdark, I managed to save a couple of drow items (armour,chainmail,swords,crossbows,etc [img]tongue.gif[/img] ) by giving them all to Imoen before exiting the underdark, and making her leave the group and going to the copper coronet, where I went immediately to get her again, with all the stuff intact
The only thing I couldnt save was Solaufeins pifwafi(sp?)cloak (+75% HiS and MiS), when she left with it on, or in the inventory, didnt make any difference, it went back to my main characters inventory, so I couldnt save it from desintegrating I suppose this is because it's sort of a quest item (you had to give it to Phaere to prove you'd killed Solaufein)

The problem with this tactic is that you cant return to this point in the underdark. luckily, you only need to finish the first room to get the crucial items from that dungeon.

Actually, I installed BG2 and ToB at the same time, but the Bonus Merchants weren't there until I downloaded the patch.

And you CAN return to the Underdark, including Ust Natha: Just go back down the way you came up. I went back to see the Silver Dragon again & ask nicely for some of her blood, but she wasn't there. No point in my returning to Ust Natha, though, I'd already killed everything except the dog and that fish-thing.
