Death Spell, Death Fog, do not work so well against Mind Flayers due to their medium high Magic Resistance.
There is one case where Death Spell is lethal though... Drow City Spoiler, ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ When you have to rescue Phare, you will be swarmed by Uber Hulks and Mind Flayers... the cute thing is, these Mind Flayers apparently have little Magic Resistance because one Death Spell took them all out. ------------------ If not a Sorcerer casting total oblivion, then a Paladin meting out justice.
