quote: Well if ya think about it.... Im bein picky here I cant imagine that it would b the same for 2-handed swords as it would 4 Halberds & Quaterstaffs E.g. U hold a 2-handed sword at the bottom and swing, halberds and quaterstaffs u sort of hol on either side of the middle, with a completely different action... So there thats something else to argue about |

quote: Put it this way... specializing in bow is specializing in being keen to the eye and less reflexive. swiftness, accuracy, and having that sharp eye. i'm sure a few color tests would fall underway here too. Target: ANYTHING up some distance. Less reflexive is saying that as you gaze out on your prey or target, you aren't necessarily TOTALLY aware of what's right behind you or to your side. Even if you are, it's not the same as the school behind the usage of two handers. You got one arrow to work with at a time and then you spend time reaching into your quiver. People adopt stances. Why does the halberd, stave, staff, 2 hand sword share the same school. Consider it inertia and controlling your center of gravity. You hold ONE weapon and move fluid like with it to control your center of gravity. You parry with this one weapon in hopes to do a follow up swing in retaliation. This stance is more aggresive. The right distance makes this guy a true foe. With two swords, it's different. You have both arms swinging so take that for what you will. Faster... almost deadlier. You can pierce or thrust faster and in a more spread out area in a shorter time. can't really parry against the force behind the two handed weapon. Sometimes they just have length on you. Weapon and shield is different too. You can parry two attacks. You have enough time to block one attack while focusing on another. I consider this guy the middle man. Not as nimble as the two weapons guy but can hold his own. He can only take so much of a beating from the force of the two handers until he has to maneuver his way using his shield to either bash back to find him time to make that one strike or blow. this is the guy you wait for to get out of his shell, but when he does you best watch your sides. So, yes halberds and staves are held differently from two handed swords but you got one weapon to use in melee range. it's not where you place your hands but how you move your body as said above. it's more the total body following thru. Take a ten pound stave and hit a guy in the jaw with the left side of it and see how fast you can connect with the right side of the stave. since your body is turned and the right side is or should be behind you some, the next hit will take some time. Same goes for using a 10 pound two hander. guy used sword to swing left side, he then has to turn around coutner clockwise to land that next swing from the right side. Then again =) each weapon will have different weights and speed. faster lighter may not deal as much dmg as the heavier slower. K, so I'm making no sense now. but it's simple about the bows as ppl have pointed out. kinda like how darts arent one hand weapons yet are heh.... BTW, if you put all your points into two handed weapons, get infinity I think it is on the home page to edit your points. it's easy. I looked thru it when i was disgusted at myself for making my first big time noobie mistake. Now I have a happy rogue. I'd rather change 4 points in something than start all over and lose like 75 hours of playing. I've rambled yet again, PeeWee
