I say dump him once you get Jan, that way you at least have a thief in your party, then at least the experience you gain will go to a character that you can use throughout the game, rahter than someone who you cannot use in the end. I think its also good to bail on Yosh becuase i was a bastard and trapped the liches and dragons and missed all the good fights. =(
