I killed Kangaxx after I hit him with the mace of disruption and he missed his saving throw

Firkaag on the other hand took me about 6 reloads to beat.

So my vote is that Firkaag is harder!

They both can be killed quickly to some extent - depending opn what you possess in your inventory.

Kangaxx. I first fought him very early October, just after BG2 shipped out. There was nothing on any board anywhere on a strategy to beat him. I must've done 10 reloads trying pretty much everything before I worked the strategy out.

When people work out (or are told) the trick to beating him, of course he's easy.

I vote Firkraag. At least Firkraag doesn't need to die first to get hard. And, like you say, Kangaxx just needs to come up against the right combination of spells, items and abilities and FOOF! He dies. Against Firkraag I had a battle that lasted half and hour, with both sides healing and casting and attacking.

Tough choice

Firkrag i just cast gate, let the pit fiend take to brunt, and pounded the hell outa him with celestial,blade of roses.

kagnaxx i just used a wizard eye and did much the same thing except i used the holy avenger.

So the "who is harder" question brings up much debate

so ill take a average brand new level 7 party of 1 paladin,1sorc,1cleric,1thief,1ranger,and 1 fighter/mage for good measure

Do the math and i say JESUS CHRIST PEOPLE IS IT NOT ENOUGH THAT THEY ARE BOTH HARD! I MEAN COMON IF YOU COULD NOT EXPLOIT THIER STUPID AI AND THEY COULD ACTUALLY MAKE REAL DECISONS THIS WOULD NOT EVEN BE AND ARGUEMENT,KNOW WHY? CAUSE NO ONE WOULD HAVE EVER BEATEN EITHER ONE OF THEM, OR SURVIVED THE BATTLE TO TELL ABOUT IT!

But anyway, i say firekragg is harder, it only takes one wizard eye to destroy kagnaxx.
