Yes, when you first play BG and come to the slow sick realisation of who you are, the effect is similar to the Matrix's "oh no...it can't be...it is" when Keanu is 'born'. Whereas in BG2 you know it right from the intro. If you're unfamiliar with the game/concept BG1 is kinder while still in the game - without needing a tutorial.
Shadows of Amn is a far better game in most areas in my humble opinion though. |
