I think the reason I change is because I get bored after 18-19 levels of exactly the same sort of thing.

Plus, if I have no Samurais in my party I start to suffer from withdrawal.

( again again and run awayyyying) Found I could not hole up in a creavse like i
have done with other parties but had to keep a retreat route open at all times

I find 4 more ideal than 3 in a party. My next very well could be a threesome: such as rouge, lord and bishop. My latest is a power party compared to my last few games:

Human Monk
Felpur Bard
Faerie Ninja
Human Bishop

Having little problems so far (in Trynton, did the Wheel and Golem/Umpani first)

I'm going to attempt to get the Cane of Corpus at lev 9/10. This should be interesting...

Just through a couple of canned elementals in while standing at the Dons' doorway and watch the action!

Ok smart alec! I meant it's "waisted". It will sit at it's waist and not be used to it's full potential.
..and that's another reason why Gadgy is better. His weapon always improves.

Variol the Farseer, I usually go up to the Don's weaker assistant. Talk to him and then kill him, sparking the battle with Don. We have one elemental potion. I think I will use everything in the book to win this one.

I've killed the Don with level 9/10 parties of 4 before (in expert ironman). But i prepared by buying superman potions for the main fighters, and haste potions.
In my experience, the ninja is useless in this fight (didn't ever hit for me). So monk will probably be the one who has to dish out the damage (Bard probably uses bloodlust, so he'll have very much trouble to hit the Don).

Fussfass has all the Elem Potions you need! You may need to do a bit of restingb but you'll get them. I never use any enhancments, just 2-3 Elem and I wait at the doorway for the fight to be over. Put everyone on defend 'cos they'll on ly hit the Elem. Heal them now and then and that's it.

I only tried once but it looked like they weren't ready for the Don yet. I cast my one Elemental, killed the assistant and went to the opposite side to do an oddasional double damage. The team maybe got in 150 damage before he wiped us out. The Elemental never hit him. I used the one Haste but Superman and Heal All would have helped. I'll come back a little later.

Update: took out the Don at levs 11 (Ninja) - 13 (Bard). Had to do it twice cause no Cane first time! Much much easier if you have certain spells/instruments to keep you alive. I could see doing it at lev 10 with the right potions and enough patience. Zig

Don't your Bard spells get better and better as you level up?
