You're right. But don't forget : Later you need lots of money to buy all those things. And if he don't build up the alchemy skill of the ranger up to 50 to create f.e. pandemonium he will not have much.
But, of course, that's only my experience with a party without real magic on expert difficulty.

Well, I've started with four. Robin as a Ranger, Little John as a Fighter, Alan A'Dale as a Bard and Friar Tuck as a monk.

The only thing is I wanted Little John to use staffs for historical reasons but until I get the Staff of Doom he's going to struggle, I think, even with Beserk Mode on.

Loudhy, I will have to build up the magic of Robin and Tuck. So money shouldn't be a problem in the long run.

Anyway, no real problems so far (fingers crossed). Got lucky with Gregor though. Never seen a critical hit so early. Hope that's a good omen for the party. Just about to enter the Upper Monastery.

Hi Target, thanks for asking.

Stuck with the original four mentioned. Had an fairly easy time getting to Arnika. Fought two packs of Rogues but were conveniently near those crevices on the road so no problems except for the lack of Missile Shield. Their ranged attacks hit a few times. Unsure what level those Savant Drones appear in Arnika but not looking forward to them.

Who sells the Missile Shield scrolls by the way? Haven't seen any in the Arnika shops. Anyway, still in Arnika doing the rounds.

Robin and Tuck, at some stage, will learn Element Shield and Soul Shield respectively which will help, and if I get the Soulful Sax from Saxx then the Bard also has Soul Shield.

As an aside, for the Ranger I generally concentrate on the Earth and Water realms, I love Quicksand. For the Monk I usually concentrate on the Mental and Fire Realms.

Thinking about going direct to Martens Bluff, via UBC so I can get the Soulful Sax and try to pickpocket the key from Kunar for easy access to Martens Bluff. Reason being to get the Magic Screen thingy, Rousing Drums and Jericho's Horn.

What do you think?

Missile Shield Srolls -> Sgt. Kunar
BTW, the Rousing Drums are in the swamp in the tree over the way to the Bluff

Sounds like a good plan! Once your in the bluf can use the T'Rang teleporter to pick up the thingy of mending to heal the party. Looks like the bard will be quite important for you.

Yes, forgot the mending thingy and also if I take the Trang transporter to that Arnika house I can pick up the Freeze All thing as well.

Bard is at level 8 so can use one of them but will have to wait until level 11 for the other one. Can't remember which is level 11, suspect it's the Freeze All instrument.

As for the Bard am concentrating on Speed and Dexterity. Don't want Robin to spend valuable combat time casting Stamina on the Bard so am buying Medium/Heavy Stamina potions for the Bard instead.

I did also toy with the idea of going to Martens Bluff via the Arnika cemetery to get Sirens Wail but the Monk has the spell Insanity of course so will pick it up later.
