I bought NWN and played that along with the expansions but I took a break from it for a party of Wiz8. Also played some Sacred but it didn't live up to expectations.

I'm really annal about turn-based combat, any hope for something new there?
... funny thing though, I hardly ever use it in this game!?

Yeah, real time sux. When I play an RPG I want to be able to think and not rely on reflexes. For that I would go for FP shooters...

I totally agree with Ziggurat.

As probably one of the oldest on these boards I haven't got the reflexes I once had so pass up on many games which has 'RTS' on the cover.

Unfortunately, turn based games seem a dying breed.

I also prefer turn based for RPG's or pausable (BG and NWN series).

I tried Icewind Dale and the pause thing drove me nuts! I don't understand why they don't just make them all turn-based and if you don't want it, you leave it off! Pool of Radiance was a good example of this and I really liked the combat style, very much like Temple of Elemantal Evil.
