The cobaltine power glove can be used without ammo, and it does like 25-30 damage each. Now imagine wut that'd be like WITH powerpacks.

I tried to start combat before the Savant started talking, but i haven't had any luck--is there a patch thing there? Anyone who's done it should maybe tell me the trick, if i missed something. (i tried hitting the combat hot-key even before he fully materialised and walking to the vent to make him show up and just got "nothing to fight", as i did when i tried to start combat after he started materialising)

strong bow with mystic arrows is a great choice if you have a low skill and average speed.
however, if you have a higher bow skill and/or high initiative, you can actually shoot as many arrows (bolts) with the siege arbalest and lightning bolts, which do more damage and have a higher instant kill rate. of course you give up the mystic arrows paralyze, but i find that the massive damage of the lightning bolts more than makes up for it by killing off anyone who isnt instant killed (and lets them still walk up to you!) but, as i said, you have to have a high enough skill/speed to make up for the siege arbalest initiative penalty. |

the battery packs only have a limited amount of shots though if I recall. And thier scarcity makes the "power up" feature of using them in the phaser rather limited.
Am i correct in this or just adding the battery packs give you unlimited fire at the increased damage rating? |
