Even in the very first quadrant where you start the game you can't swim through an arch, although you can clearly see other areas to explore. I am guessing they had a water travel scenario like in Wiz 7. But I think Wiz 8's loose ends were more of a money thing than time, they needed more programmers to get the game finished in all its glory and had much trouble just getting the game distributed! As a musician, that is one of my greatest worries with our original music. Sure, you can get it out over the Internet but playing live at various venues and getting it distributed requires a contract with some loathsome people, if they are interested at all. I have to give the designers and all the rest of the Wiz 8 people much credit for producing such a fine game with limited resources and in an almost closed market for indies.

Yeah Zig, I'd forgotten about that. Some people actually went all the way back there with the scuba gear and tried swimming around with that. Didn't work

I suspect time became the problem because they didn't have enough people to do the coding. Eventually, you have to get the product out the door, finished or not. And yes, under the circumstances, they did do a good job.

hmm...seems to me like sirtech is running out of money and they need to release the game fast in order to get the money. probably that's why they cut the game short and thus left some unfinished places in the game.

I think it was more like... Sir-Tech *did* run out of money.
