KraGorn the *Ligth**Sword* you can get it from the Buccaner`s Ghost or in the chest in the hut in Bayjin! But i think the "Excaliber" sword is better than the *Ligth**Sword* AND the NAME of the sword IS: EXCALIBER not EXCALIBUR!!

Of course, since it's a British sword, you would expect it to be spelled "Excalibre"

Personally I like the Giant Sword more. My Mook Ranger kicks some serious butt with it, he KO's most mobs in the first round with it! Thinking of replaying with a 4 Mook party and getting them all one of these.

edit: deleted redundant line

But Rokenn, what can a Giant Sword do to most mobs in the first round?

Kidding. I like the Giant Sword, too.

Over the last month on various forums I keep seeing the Mook Ranger thing brought up over and over. My question is, why do you want to take a bow out of your ranger's hands? Yeah the sword is nice, but by using it you're robbing your ranger of his critical ability. Why not just make a Mook Fighter and have him use it? Makes no sense to me...

P.S. That's exactly what I did. But you know what? By the time I found the Giant Sword I was pretty happy with my Saint Bastard/Dragon Kite Shield combo and my 25+ AC. So I'm not even using the darn thing

I'm sure it is but why tell me, I didn't mention it at all? Even if I had it's sad you feel so obsessed with correct spelling you have to shout to people to tell them they're wrong.

No shouting from me, I promise. I've never gotten a sniff at that sword, anyway.

Grungepopp, I think people figure that Mooks make good rangers (which is true) and as an added bonus, they can get a good sword to use, too. I don't think anyone gives up their bow when they find a giant sword, they give up the longsword or fancy pointed stick or whatever it is that they've carried up until then.

It's nice to have a something that packs a punch as your fallback. After all, even the best ranger can run out of arrows...
