Spoilers**********

I felt exactly as you do on my first foray into the road. After gaining a level or two it got much easier. Well, maybe not MUCH easier but do-able.

As has already been mentioned it's MOST important to stay next to the mountains! I go up and down the road, sprinting from one "crevice" to the next. When backed into a crevice, turned slightly to the side to bring swords to bear, I'm almost unbeatable. Only one, at most two, monster can attack at a time.

For the Seige's, learn "magic shield", it cuts their attacks down to a survivable level. Also use "banishing powder" on the elementals that they summon.

Soon you'll be feeling like a true hero!

Hey it's me destro again.
I've tried all the tips and they KINDA worked, especially the 'using the terrain to yr advantage' bit. I still get pulverised tho!
I'm using a dracon fighter, human samurai, a felpurr ranger, a faerie mage, and a elfish rogue. We're all around lvl 7. My felpurr ninja got whacked so i'm roamig around with my party of 5. Do I get to resurrect her or something? When I encounter the next NPC, can that NPC take over my fallen ninja slot?
Is there something I don't get? The plants (crimson poppies I think) keep making my party fall asleep! The Sige's keep casting fear on my party! The piercer Modais' are slicing me to bits!
WHAT DO I DO???
I'm almost bald pulling my hair!!!
BTW, I'm on NOVICE level!
I don't get it, i've finished bg1 & 2, torment, etc and I'm definitely not a newbie RPG'er (though this is my first wizardry game).
PLEASE HELP!

destro again.
I was going through the sibex guide and it lists gregor to have 37 hp... i'm almost definitely sure that he was a lot more than that! About 100+!
All my members are lvl 7, at the area just off the locked house on arnika road, i encounter 8 Higandi Highwaymen, level 7 to 9, with hp's off 69 to 81.
At the T junction to arnika and the woods i encounter 4 bloodvines AND 8 roustabouts, of level 7-9. The bloodvines have 37 hp.
Is this normal?
I've re-checked thier stats cos i'm sure gregor was a whole lot tougher and had MUCH more than 37 hp.
And to top it off, i'm playing at novice!
I fought gregor on normal, i only switched to novice when i reached the locked house.
HELP!

The trick is to RUN AWAY!!!!!!!!
As soon as I reached Arnika, things started to chill.
Fights are getting more manageable.
Then fights in Arnika weren't that tough cos there were no spellcasters.
Hope the fights doesn't get insane again.

Brave Sir Robin ran away,
ROBIN:
No!
MINSTREL: [singing]
Bravely ran away, away.
ROBIN:
I didn't!

When danger reared its ugly head, he bravely turned his tail and fled.
ROBIN:
No!
MINSTREL: [singing]
Yes, brave Sir Robin turned about
ROBIN:
I didn't!
MINSTREL: [singing]
And gallantly, he chickened out. Bravely taking to his feet,
ROBIN:
I never did!
MINSTREL: [singing]
He beat a very brave retreat,
ROBIN:
All lies!
MINSTREL: [singing]
Bravest of the brave, Sir Robin.
ROBIN:
I never!

These porst seems to have something in commen

The first time I got my ass kicked was after getting the wheel key.

Well just a small trip I thought back to the Monastry and collect goodies, I got my goodies and went back, at the T-junction I met 6 Raiders, 6 raiders, 4 plants and 5 cultists.

I replayed the battle a coulple of times, each time I got bombed with fireballs and The Cultist summen Elementals, I finally won the battle by moving out of Cultits sight, that won the battle, and perhaps a lot of potions and arrow's. dont settle for normal arrows, get the best

As much as i hate to say it but...... compared to wizardy 7, this game is easy!!!!. Indeed as horror_byte wrote in his post, all the battles can be won, if you play smart (tactical) don't get surrounded, fight in hallways, with you're back against the wall, use potions and powders, and always i mean always use defensive spells, and incapacitating spells, don't bother too much on teh offense spells, the battles are easily won due to the use of utility spells.
