Wasn't random for me - after a dozen reloads it was ALWAYS 2 resurrections powders. Finally decided to just move on.

Maybe it randomly generates the contents when you get near it instead of when you open it? Or maybe if she's tried clicking on it before she got the key it generated the contents.
