I really liked them all! I was refering to the font size on the above website. I just wanted to clarify that. I like all Savatore's stuff except the first half of Servant of the Shard was boring to me. Start around chapter 13/14 then it's good. Thenb the next one is Promise of the Witch King, which I'm reading now. It's very good!

I think Troy Denning wrote a few Dark Sun novels. If you remember that was the D&D world with psyonics and dessert areas. One was Shattered lands I think, and I can't remember the other two. I thought they were excellent reads and wish TSR would have kept going with those. I can't find them at the used book store anytime but if you ever come across them they are worth the time.

I have (going to bookcase) The Crimson Legion. That's a Dark Sun book by him. Shattered Lands is another one and I'm thinking it may also be a game. I think it's hight lvl characters in that. The weapons are mostly stone or obsidian, because metal is very rare.

Yes it was a game and pretty good too. You started in the slave pits to gain experiance and then adventured out.

Ooooh. Salvatore released "Roads of the Patriarch" the sequal to Promise of the Witchking, and the sequal sequal to servant of the shard

Hmm, that's a really tough choice. David is excellent, but I don't think I can put him over Salvatore. Promise of the Witch King is reallly good. Bob must have had tonnes of fun writing it. There arn't many books of his with more homour and emotion in it. I'd put them about the same, 'cos they can both move to tears.

Elaine Cunningham is my FR author of choice, who is notably absent from this list, I see. Oh well.

Aye, loved daughter of the Drow and the sequels. I hear the last one wasn't so great but she was a great alternative to Drizzt novels for those of us who didn't like them.
