Well I'm mainly asking because I used to have an X-Men trading card that a friend gave me that showed Magneto pulling out lots of strips of metal from Wolvie's body.

Also, someone told me he eventually had the process done again (Getting the adamantium back) but I just would like confirmation on that.

I'm sure they could find another actor, but that wouldn't be a very wise move. X-Men fans are a lot like Trekkies and LOTR fans, they don't want Hollywood "screwing up" their favorite characters. Hugh Jackman (although relatively unknown before the original X-Men) has done a great job portraying comic fans favorite beserker.

My guess is that Wolverine will just be left out of X3 altogether. I was reading the latest news on the film the other day (just Google for X-Men movie and it will take you to a website with the latest info) and it looks like Nightcrawler will have more air-time in the 3rd movie. Also, as hinted at in the end of X2, X3 will focus primarily on the Pheonix saga, so it would be easy enough to leave Logan out of the storyline.

My guess is that they may shoot one or two scenes where Logan leaves the group to go search for his roots. That would be a good set-up for the "Wolverine" movie that has been rumored to be "in the works" (no confirmation on that though). It is also somewhat accurate with the comic storyline, although Wolvie didn't go on this journey of personal discovery until many, many years after the Pheonix saga in the comics.

Hugh Jackman had said he was getting a bit tired of the overwhelming pressure the role brought on him and he just wanted a break. If he doesn't sign up for X3, there is still a chance he could come back in X4 (if it gets that far).

As long as the movies make money, they'll make more...

Larry, a bit of Info, The director of teh X-men movies didn't sign on to X-3 so that he would be able to do Superman, they cast a relative unknown for the part, and it's taking place after Superman 2, with get this, Kevin Spacey cast as Lex Luthor (those who've seen him in Se7en and the Usual Suspects can be sure he'll do a great job)

As far as Logan being left out of X-3, I hadn't heard that, I did hear that Storm is likely to be cut out due to Halle bitching about Storm's role being downplayed, and the prima donna isn't getting enough of a front-line role (that was her primary complaint about X-2, and the reason many of her scenes were expanded)

Also about Logan getting the Adamantium reinserted, it occured during the whole Y2K fiasco, Apocalypse made Wolverine his new Death, gave him back the adamantium, and a severe desire to see the X-men dead, he of course failed and was re-recruited to the team (they discovered a Skrull had been impersonating wolvie since Apocolypse had abducted Logan some months earlier).

personally I wouldn't mind it if they did drop Logan from X-3, his enemies list has been disappointing. Two arch-enemies of his barely given a few lines (Savertooth at least had a decent part in X-1) and not even remotely done justice in the two movies they were in.
