Going to Ibiza is the remake of Going to Barbados.

Well, "Smells like Nirvana" is a better song anyway

Oh, and "Teen Spirit" probably is just a miscellaneous rant about as many things as they can stick into the allotted time.

Reference "This song is just six words long" by Weird Al.

new music?
how does the lyrics in "new music" make any more sence then those in "old music" ever did?
and whats your definition of "new music"?

seems to me like you are just looking for a reason to put down everything new without ever hearing it :/

</font>
Yeah, but that's something I noticed before. I also noticed that it was little use trying to get a reasonable argument about it going, but what the hell.
It's complete bollocks to compare ALL lyrics that are "new" to all that aren't. First, your definition of "new" is probably no broader than "anything that isn't some stuffy old prog-rock band", second, there have been such widely divergent bands and lyrics in "old" and "new" times that to make any comparisons would be just as (in)valid as comparing anything written in the 19th century to any 20th century literature and third, even if all new music had crappy lyrics, there's plenty of old ones that do too, so a lyric's age says nothing about its quality either way.

Anyway. Nice to see you Chao! Everything OK?

Oh and Variol, disgracefully belated thanks for your PM! Been busy as heck, but thanks, and a good year to you as well.

Personally, I thought that Vengaboys' Up&Down lyrics were awesome

I always like Weird Al Yankovich lyrics better...

Smell Like Nirvana

What is this song all about?
Can’t figure any lyrics out
How do the words to it go?
I wish you’d tell me, I don’t know
Don’t know, don’t know, don’t know, oh no
Don’t know, don’t know, don’t know...

Now I’m mumblin’ and I’m screamin’
And I don’t know what I’m singin’
Crank the volume, ears are bleedin’
I still don’t know what I’m singin’
We’re so loud and incoherent
Boy, this oughta bug your parents
Yeah

It’s unintel-ligible
I just can’t get it through my skull
It’s hard to bargle nawdle zouss(? )
With all these marbles in my mouth
Don’t know, don’t know, don’t know, oh no
Don’t know, don’t know, don’t know...

Well, we don’t sound like madonna
Here we are now, we’re nirvana
Sing distinctly? we don’t wanna
Buy our album, we’re nirvana
A garage band from seattle
Well, it sure beats raising cattle
Yeah

And I forgot the next verse
Oh well, I guess it pays to rehearse
The lyric sheet’s so hard to find
What are the words? oh, nevermind
Don’t know, don’t know, don’t know, oh no
Don’t know, don’t know, don’t know...

Well, I’m yellin’ and we’re playin’
But I don’t know what I’m sayin’
What’s the message I’m conveyin’?
Can you tell me what I’m sayin’?
So have you got some idea?
Didn’t think so -- well, I’ll see ya
Sayonara, sayonara
Ayonawa, odinawa
Odinaya, yodinaya
Yaddayadda, yaaahyaaah
Ayaaaaaah!

Apparantly there were others who had no idea what Kurt was singing either...

The first part of the chorus does make some sense,
the lights out bit is reference to the saftey in anonimity that teenagers feel

i feel stupid ITS contagious:
a reference to feeling put down and not listened to, presumabley shared by those around him,

here we are now enteratain us:
the attitude of the young generation, instant gratifictaion, the vew that they are entilted to something just for being, it goes down hill from here..
