I did not see CoR in the theatres, but I finally rented it yesterday with Pitch Black. I watched them both, and liked them...although I agree with the majority that it was hard to catch on as to the significance of alot. They did not explain things in enough detail for me to get the meanings behind some things, but it was still good fun to see.

The thing that bothered me most is that they did not do enough with his special eye power in the second movie. Only once at the beginning I think. Oh well.

What Larry_OHF said. Personally I was kind of neutral about Chronicals of Riddick although there were parts I really liked. At times I felt lost in the movie. Really enjoyed the movie Pitch Black as it had a more coherent story.

I would also say that Pitch Black was a better movie, but Chronicles of Riddick was not nearly as bad as I feared(i.e., XXX). The story didn't flow as smoothly as it could have, and it contained some of the inanities typical of action movies(being saved at the last second, dialogue that seems like it's trying too hard to sound cool), but I did enjoy the movie overall.
