So many good ones to choose. It's such an expressive instrument, and the really good ones have a style all their own.
In the rock(-ish) genre, I can't choose. Hendrix, Clapton (more blues, possibly), Santana, Jonny Lang, and Lindsay Buckingham (Fleetwood Mac) are my top five. Big fan of Mark Knopfler as well. He did an album with Chet Atkins that shows more variety than his Dire Straights stuff.
