I have to agree with those disliking Anakin Skywalker.

Going by the "first" three movies (Episodes IV, V and VI), it was intimated that he went through serious torture (physical and emotional) at the hand of the Emperor before he went to the dark side.

But the boy who played 'little Ani' was *much* better at the role than Christian, imo.

He's too much a 'pretty boy'...more a model than an actor.

And I won't even bother to list all the sequels I despise. Most of them get my goat.

(*shudder*) That one was horrible, as was Weekend at Bernie's 2. Oh, and how about The Living Daylights, Day of the Dead, and Conan the Destroyer?

Oh, and I almost forgot the Highlander sequels...

Red Dragon.

Silence of the lambs was great, Hannnibal was good, but Red Dragon was not even as good as Manhunter (the original Hannibal lecter film, with a third rate Richard Burton wannabe as Hannibal)

Oh yeah, and the sequels to and the remake of Psycho were an insult.

Do you mean Brian Cox? I think he was great as Hannibal Lector. Anthony Hopkins was just a hammy joke in Hannibal, and was only saved by Jodie Foster's gravitas in Silence of the Lambs. I think its one of the most overrated performances ever.

I'm bad at detecting bad actors - or maybe just not enough critical - but the Psycho 1998 remake had just about abysmal acting.

I disagree. Hopkins is a stage actor by origin, and his theatrical improvisations in the prison scene, not to mention his cool, surreally calm line delivery at all times made him incredibly creepy.

Brian Cox lacked the balls-out creepy that the Hannibal Lector of Red Dragon and Silence of the Lambs possessed, which Hopkins delivered in spades.

That's just my opinion. I felt that Cox was plain unconvincing.

I just thought of a disappointing sequel, and Sylvester Stallone screwed it up!

Stayin' Alive, sequel to smash hit (and artistically successful character study) Saturday Night Fever, it managed to nearly ruin John Travolta's career...

How can you dislike Star Wars parts III? It hasn't even been released yet. How can you dislike something before it has even been released?

You know what, I disliked all the matrix movies and kill bill movies. Take that Star Wars haters.... Ha!Ha!Ha!

Anyway, while 1 was not the greatest due to Jar Jar there were elements and characters of the movie that I really enjoyed. You can't say that seeing Jabba never got pops from true fans. The pod race was nicely done, as well as the jedi fight scenes. The second one I really liked as well, a nice tie in movie, and had little elements that possibly tied all 6 together.

In my opinion - Jar-Jar wasn't the only thing that kind of spoilt Star Wars I - Didn't anyone else find that 9-year old Anakin really annoying? As I remember, he went into a small spaceship and destroyed quite a few robots(/imperials?). Of course, old Lucas didn't forget to give him a killer dialogue with the occasional 'Wooah!' while completely lacking fear of death.

At least Jar-Jar made for a bitchin' senator in the sequel.
