It's entirely possible. I've reinstalled both games, full installation, and tried/patched them both. I'll try adding TuTu to it in a bit. With any luck, I'll get it right this time. I do read the readme's carefully, and try to follow everything they say to the letter, but *sigh*... Anyway, I'll post back here if it goes wrong.

Looking at the BGtutu log - it gets past the kits for installation, and then it throws up:
---
ERROR: Unable to find CHITIN.KEY in:
C:\games\BGII

ERROR: Failure("Unable to find CHITIN.KEY: run me in an Infinity Engine game directory")
Converted 0/16694 = 0%
parsing rules 0.000
main 33.688
TOTAL 33.688
--

I'm not sure what to do :S

I guess I'll reinstall it...

---

Well, a reinstall worked - and now, its finally working

...or, at least, *most* of it works. Some of the stuff on the fix and tweak packs won't install - Error: failure<"resource [_Drelik.cre] not found for 'copy'"

As I said, TuTu is VERY bitchy about mods, but repeated reloads 'usually' work. Now that it's working, kick some serious monster butt!!

*grins* I'm having a lot of fun with my shadow keeped Elf Wizard Slayer/Mage. I didn't want to dual class, as I prefer multiclassing - not that you can dual class with elves anyway...

Even so, there are some things that *still* won't install, but that aside it's fun so far

Elfbane: Tutu is not bitchy about mods. Errors tend to be with the end-user.

Calaethis: Missing files making fixpacks/mods not want to install generally mean that your BG1 CDs are scratched so files weren't copied in the Tutu conversion. What is a good idea to do is look in this thread and see if your install is missing any of these files: http://forums.pocketplane.net/index.php?topic=17613.0

If so, it means that they were corrupted on your BG1 install so you should copy them over from the CD. Then stuff should install properly, and I'd recommend you use the Tutu Fixpack at least.

I'd love to use the fixpack, and the tweaks - already, there are some areas where I can't go without the game crashing out of me. The disks shouldn't be scratched, they're practically new... but I'll go read it and see if it helps. Cheers

Edit: All the files are there - I checked, but haven't double checked, and they seem to all be there so I don't know what the problem is
Edit 2: http://forums.pocketplane.net/index.php?topic=18904.0 <- that sounds all to similar to what is happening to me. It might be SoA...

Hmm, upon running that program it says: It appears your installation is complete... so if that's the case... maybe I'm doing something else wrong...?

Although, despite the bugs/errors, I am having a lot of fun and this really is a nice mod!

I do have a question though - is it possible to have another folder whereupon one can play BG2 without having to reinstall the game? I'm sure I remember somewhere there was someone who wrote up some post whereupon you copy part the folder but not the CD folders (in BG2 main) and change the ini file to the directory of where the CD folders are... or am I making no sense here?

Yes there is. Get yourself a copy of the Multi-Install tool.

This is great for Tutu and BGT, for the purpose you mentioned.

It looks good and all... except for this:
