I wouldn't say it isn't good, it is campy without meaning to be campy but at the time had some cool effects. Well I guess it is not good, but it is watchable. It is just they try and cram a saga into 2 hours, that just doesn't work.

Not to mention they took a great deal of poetic liscence when dealing with things such as the weirding way and the powers of the Kwisatz Haderach (absolutely nowhere in the book does Paul ever conjure up rain from out of nowhere. He's prescient, not magic! Damn I'm a sci fi nerd! ).

Overall, the movie was pretty bad. Only watch it if you don't have to pay for it. I rented the DVD for free from the University Library. Definately not some of David Lynch's best work.

Although I like Dark Highway, and I am yet to see Mulholland Drive.
