Oh, I definitely agree with you there. He just did a great job as the Doctor. However, I first started watching the show when Jon Pertwee was the Doctor, so he runs a very close second in my mind.

Tom Baker was my first Doctor... he defined it well for me. Back in high school, a buddy and I had to write stories for a literature class. We wrote back-to-back stories taking the Doctor through a regeneration, turning him into our lit instructor. My episode was the Janus Complex... he split into two Doctors, exect duplicates of each other.

Such fun.... I remember most writing it on my C64 (without a text editor) and losing three chapters when, at three in the morning, I decided to see what would happen if I tried to load something from a floppy. I didn't have one, and it froze... reboot, and recreate three hours of typing.

Hi Wellard - but they are not showing 100% all of them - did you spot that they avoided showing us the 10 episodes of the War Games at the end of Patrick Troughton - the stingy gits

Question Mark

This would definitely be something worth watching, even if it would be impossible to avoid comparing the new series against the old ones. I think more technologically advanced special effects/props would add to the believability, especially since some of the older stuff was so obviously fake.
