The war beacons. Yes, completely left me gaping in awe first time I saw it. One of the top moments of the entire trilogy I think. It owes a lot to the fantastically powerful music though.

Completely forgot about that. Brilliant scene, and the contempt you feel for nurse Ratched just goes through the roof with that scene. Don't know if I've ever cheered on anyone in a film more than when McMurphy tries to strangle her afterwards.

Saving Private Ryan- When the german soldier is fighting with Mellish with the knife and Ashon? ( the one who was suppose to bring the bullets ) just sit at the stairs and crying. I felt so angry with him that I personally felt like I want to strangle him for not helping Mellish.

Titanic - When the actress ( forgot her name ) found that Leonardo DiCaprio had died clinging on the door? She let go of his hand. very touchy. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Animatrix- Second Renaissance part 2especially When you hear the men in the APU's trying to rescue a comrade then get torn to bits (not so much touching as disturbing)
Spirited Away- When Chirihiro (sp) has to leave the bathouse

The scene were his pet lion rips into the man who was attacking him and the lion dies of a heart attack.

and the end when the two uncles die in the airplane.

I'll add a couple off the top of my head.

-The "My name is Maximus..." scene (among others) in Gladiator.
-The first time I saw the fighting scenes and running scenes in The Matrix.
-The banter between Cruise and Nicholson in A Few Good Men, "You can't handle the truth," etc.
-The intense car-to-car gunfight in the street at the end of Heat (DeNiro is a bad-ass).
-Terminator 2 when Arnold lowers himself into the molten steel, very touching.

Well, these are just a few I could think of. This is a great thread by the way. It's fun to relive all these great scenes.
