So how did you sell them? One by one, or entire collections at the same time? And which collector guide did you use to base your prices on? </font>
You should mostly sell them by the single card not by set...unless you have a 40 card deck you made up, but you would still have to list the cards in it. Cards such as black lotus will sell on ebay for somewhere around 1,450 american dollars. And there are cards that will get up to 50 or maybe even 100 american dollars depending on its rarity but you will mostly sell single cards.

I played it for fun a couple of times, though I had a friend who was totally into it. I always joked around telling him I had the Black Lotus, but he would always know that I was lying because I never knew the answer to his question: "What does the card look like."
My little brother also bought a couple of card sets, but he never really got into playing a lot. They're probably collecting dust somewhere in his room right now. Every once in a while he will retrieve it from that dark spot, and we will play again. Me winning of course

NOTE: Black Lotus is THE most valuable card there is, probably worth over 1000 dollars.

I used to play about the time revised came out. It was a lot of fun. I never entered any tournaments or anything though. My one buddy did, and he got second in a couple, always losing to the same kid that spent a ton more money on it and had all the rare cards, like mox's and a black lotus stuff like that. My buddy was pretty good though. he built a deck he called his curd ape deck, that had a record of 234-1. it was pretty nasty. He got out of it selling a lot of his cards years ago to help pay for college, but he still kept some of them. We divide up his cards and play each other from time to time, with use decks just to have some fun messing around. I used to have the computer game, though it had a lot of glitches, it was fun building decks in it. I built a deck based on steal magic, that was just outrageously good. I've probably lost like 4 or 5 times with it out of several hundered. Unfortunately it got corrupted or something and I can no longer play it.

I'm still playing the game, and I like it although it does cost a lot of money, but if you make the right trades then with a relatively small amount of initial money you can build yourself a rather large collection.
And BTW lotuses only fetch about a maximum of 700 $ on the net, it has been a long time since they were above 1000.
