I liked 3x3 eyes as well. One thing you can do is watch the Action channel. I heard somewhere that they play some of the best in Anime every friday night at 12. Hang on a minute....

**Sir M runs and grabs TV guide**

According to my Direct TV The Guide, the action channel started something called animidnight this month. It says they already played Akira, and alot of 3x3 eyes. Akira is supposed to play agian at 7:50 pm (eastern standerd) on July 29. Ghost in the Shell on the 22 (today), 26, 30, and the 31st.

Here are the times:
22: 6:35 pm
26: 12am
30: 12:15 ? (it didn't say weather it was am or pm)
31: 4:35 pm

They are also playing some episodes from 3x3 Eyes tommaro (23) at 11:30. Although, I don't know what episodes. :/ I don't have the next guide yet so all I have is this month. But, I don't know how much they edit, and how much they leave the same. I'm GUESSING that these are the English versions.... but I don't know.

And to answer your other question-
I've never watched any Japornimation , myself.

I wish I couild get more 3x3 eyes. I have the first four tapes, but ehy end with a cliffhanger and I've been waiting about 6 years to see more...
There is a manga series called Iron Fist Chinmi that did the same thing to me. I read the first twelve or so and could never find any more.

Some great Anime Series are Trigun, n Gokudo. Gokudo is funny, but I'm not sure if the title spelling is right.

I know what you mean.

I only saw up to the point where Pai leaves to find that evil guy (k-something-or-other) after she released him. :\ Quite annoying leaving it hanging like that.

Maybe the episodes after that are what are playing on Action Channel tonight? But then agian, I don't want to see how much editing they did. (IF they are edited that is....)

Maybe those are the originals. But I'm not going to hold my breath.

If you're into mild incest, lesbian behavior, and boys who are as equally as hot as the girls go for Revolutionary Girl Utena. Lots of sword fights, a twisty plot, odd colored hair, and of course the all powerful Juri.

Bubblegum Crisis tokyo 2040 (much better than the originals)
Macross Plus (Just rereleased (at least in Britain)

There's a lot of trashy anime out there, but there's a lot of good stuff too!

Cowboy Bebop - excellent!
Akira - the movie is hard to follow, but if you can get the series bootlegged of a newsgroup, it'll fill in a lot of blanks. (or you can get the 5 issue trade paperback)
Outlaw Star - not topnotch, but definitely part of the "good anime" camp.
Bubblegum Crisis - excellent.
Ghost in the Machine - excellent
Evangelion - very hardcore following, I found it strange but the plot and dialogue are far better than you'll see in any other genre of animated serial.
Macross Plus - Very good, though too short. (only 4 eps to my knowledge)
Appleseed - more "mecha" anime; good.
Gundam 0083 - (more "mecha" anime) awesome characterization; lots of fun battle sequences
08th MS team - very similar to Gundam 0083
Dirty Pair - I didn't find the series to be as good as the comic book, but still worth watching for the fans.
Full Metal Panic - *lots* of fun; very strange though - the writers seem to have the typical japanese schoolgirl fetish. (Not at all "adult" in content)
Battle Flag of the Stars - Very impressive space-animation. Plausible space tactics and good characterization.

Dragon Ball Z, Galaxy Angel and Ranma are all in the same camp as Sailor Moon (IMHO) - very addictive trash. (Fortunately, I never got sucked in!)

um did someone say anime? O_o

I recomend some 3rd party stuff that not many people have heard about but is good:

Virus Buster Serge, Martian Sucessor Naedesico (spelling always messes me up) Blue Gender is looking quite nice! The way it introduces al of these lovable characters and KILLS THEM OFF BRUITALLY one by one And then there's The ruin explorers, whole Series on one DVD, GET PHOTON! IT WILL MAKE YOU LAUGH! and um Generator Gawl is nice, but you have to get 4 DVDs to see the whole thing, it's very nice tho, IRIA: Zeriam The animation, comes niceley fit on a single DVD as well, and now lets get into the profesional stuff

EVANGELION... GOOD
I no longer recomend JIN ROH... the movie turned out ot be a dissapointment
SPIRITED AWAY by Miyazaki just came out and it looks like the Little Nemo of the next century

ALSO Priness Mononoke by the guy is good...
Others:

Any movie based on an SNK fighting game, Even Voltage Fighter Gowkaizer I recomend 'cuz SNK was cool! The Street fighter movies *bleh* if you can stand it...

Ranma 1/2 Was STUPENDOUSE!

Cowboy Beebop Was EXCELENT!

Trigun and Outlaw star are sapce cowboy wanabees But are still VERY VERY good...

Love Hina - I highly Recomend

Ah My Goddess is great! Don't see ah My mini Godess before seeing it tho

Akira is good if you're just starting watching Anime... it was actually lip synched

SPRIGGAN was TOO good for words

The end of Evangelion movie was incredibly ... well I dont want to spoil it... JUST SEE IT! even if you havent seen the TV series! give it a try! (note if you havent seen the series get Death and Rebirth AND End of Eva, it wont make since otherwise AND be sure to watch it with a Shinto converted to a Preist who used to study Pagan rituals and has a hobby of mapping out the tree of life and relating it to Freude and the evolutionary theory)

Samurai Pizza Cats are great!

lets not go near Akira Toryama's stuff 470 Episodes is a little much for just one TV series about muscular guys who punch kick and blow stuff up

Sonic the movie was fun if you like Sonic and used to draw him poorley as a child

JEt Set Radio Future is a good X box game, that's kind of like anime and has GREAT J-POP music!

LOok UP Guitar Vader, and AdrenalinaTriphosphate or ATP on mp3.com!! LOOK THEM UP I TELL YOU!!!

UMM Im running low on ammo so i'm jsut going to star shouting out names of good anime...

GASARAKI, GUNDAM 0083 (forget all other gundam shows and just watch THIS ONE), RECORD OF LODOSS WAR (OVA not TV series or that Grey-witch Crap, and Ignore Lukrania unless you LOVE dark elves), Twin Bee, Blue Seed, His and Her Circumstances, You're Under Arrest, *pant pant* Tenchi - in general, Anything from the makers of Tenchi, Anything from Bandai, Lets all just out and say it X 1999, ANGEL SANCTUARY, CARD CAPTOR SAKURA (UN DUBBED WITH SUBTITLES) NINJA SCROLL G-POLICE, GALAXY EXPRES 999, BLACK JACK SURGEON WITH THE HANDS OF GOD, SIN THE MOVIE, avoid Transformers at all costs, KIRBY is ... scarry too... GHOST IN THE SHELL wasnt that good Needed more robots and the bear breasts did NOT make up for it , LEDGEND OF LEMNAR, WICKED CITY, PATLABOR, ESCAFLOWNE, ESCAFLOWNE THE MOVIE, Blood the last vamprie and APPLESEED!!!!!

Personal best Pick for action/comedy series: Generator Gawl
Action in a single DVD: Iria:Zeriam the Animation
Comedy in a single DVD: Photon, the Idiot adventures
Comedy in a series: Ranma 1/2
Action in a Series: . . . I . . . Cant. . . say . . . too many. . .
Most Deep Series: Evangelion (including movies)
Most Deep movie: Perfect Blue
Most Classic Movie: Appleseed
Best Classic Series: Gundam 0083

O_o oh and Zoids/Pokemon/Digimon/G-gundam/BayBlade/Yugi-Oh/Medabots IF you are into shows that have the same plot and same outcome EVERY SINGLE EPISODE!

Sir Krustin how can you not like Ranma 1/2? I don't really care for DBZ, (not so much anymore) and my friends would look at me wierd if I started collecting Sailor Moon, but how can you not like Ranma 1/2?
Outlaw Star is one of my favorites, and I could watch Princess Monanoke all day long, no problem.
Cowboy Bebop is good, even though I haven't seen all of it.
Evangelion was awesome although the ending made everyone want to strangle the animators. The new ending is even worse.
Gundam Wing had way to much repeat animation, but the story was good I suppose. Stay away from Record of Lodoss war. To much repeat animation there, but if you love D&D you'll watch it all anyway. lol!
Hmm... what else? Ranma is a funny series, but it's long really long. There are already four box sets, and it still isn't over yet.
DBZ is good at first, but it starts to get old after awhile.
Metropolis was really good too!
