I mean PERSONALLY I would love to see harrison ford finish off the Indiana Jones movies, but hes going to like 60 by the time the actually get the movie into production. Indy just wont be the same suave charming young archaeologist that he was in the previous movies. In other words the fact of the matter is that Harisson ford is too old to play Indiana Jones. I hate to say its but it is true. I think they need to look into getting another actor to take over the prat kind of like the james bond movies. Sean Connery was the best, but he just got too old. a 60 year old James Bond running around is about as much entertainment as watching a geriatric Indiana Jones, ie NOT VERY. I think maybe somone like brendan fraiser would make a pretty good indiana jones, Ive thought so since the first mummy, but he probably wouldnt do it since that would kind of typecast him into the action adventurer type of role for probably the rest of his career. In other words I dont know how would make a good indiana jones for the next movie, but i definitely think that harrison ford would make the movie not as good as it could be. I mean an indiana jones with grey hair just isnt something that anyone needs to see.

YIPPEEE!!! I love Indiana Jones! And I LOVE Harrison Ford - he may be in his late 50s (I think) but he's still a babe. I'm of two minds about him playing Indy though - it would definitely not be the same if it was someone else, I agree. On the other hand, they've GOT to make some effort to make him look younger. Maybe Harrison could do this last one, then they could start a new run of Indy movies - maybe a younger Indy with a different actor. The character is so much fun I'd love to see lots more movies.

Number three was definitely the best so far - love Sean Connery as Indy's dad - he and Harrison worked very well together I think.

People are putting to much salt into this age thing, just because he is getting old it doesn't mean he's getting decrepid. There are loads of action films out there with older people playing big parts. Ok they might need a stunt double for most of the scenes but this is true for most actor's of any age. Take arnold schwarzeneggar for example he's what 57 now and still going strong, OK you might argue that arnie is built for these parts so I'll move on to another actor Christopher Lee for example he's much older than Harrison but he has still been in quite a few action pacted scenes recently despite his age (Lotr & Star wars ep2). As I said before stunt actors were probabally used for most of these parts, but they still looked good I don't see why the same techniques can't be used for the next indy film. Regardless of what people say about his age I am still looking forward to the film, and still reckon it will be great

Yea name a good action movie with a 60+ year old guy at the helm? I know Ford is at least 60 now(read it in People when they wrote about him and that bean-pole Calista chick he's dating). He'll be 63-64 when filming? Comon people he's agreat actor but like AzRael said look at the Bond films. It just looked sad to see Roger Moore playing him in the end, and that last one Connery did was far from his best.

This may be tottally shallow, but people are having visions of Raiders of the Lost Ark in their heads. That was 20 years ago.

Arnold is doing T3, and now this. There's a time to move on, unfortunatly good things are dragged out far longer than they should be.

Daniel-
I agree with you, man. Christopher Lee is an excellent example.

He was only immortal if he stayed in that room where he drank the water. That's why that old guy was still in there.
