Nice name, BTW -

ehm

I love the series - does bog down in the middle when he does a lot of house keeping details with the plot (can't ALL be battles) and it does pick up (can't wait to tie up loose ends). I believe book 10 comes out NOV 2002...

I loved the series, I still like it although it's gotten kind of out of hand. Jordan desperately needs to kill off some minor characters! But since I can still remember who most of them are and what's happened to them, I've managed to keep track of the books - so far.
Here's my theory: Moiraine will reappear in the Tower of the Aelfinn and the Eelfinn in the Two Rivers, she might be rescued by Thom although maybe not. Lanfear is Cyndane, she used her wish to get herself a new body - or maybe not . In any case, it is made very obvious in the end of Book 9 that Lanfear and Cyndane are the same person.
I think Jordan's overdone it a bit with Rand's paranoia, I hope to see more of Mat though, although I'm also interested to see how Egwene's attack works out.

I have read them and loved the first 4 books, from five they got worse and worse like you could sense that he got boored with it. Book nine was back to a bit more interesting again and finally things got from the tedious mumblings to some actions and woolheads got the shave they neede!

Also looking forward for book ten but as far as I know it should be out some time this year..

Is nice book. What I don't really like about the series is how Rand removed the taint from saidin. Sounds too easy for me, anyway I think that Taim is a forsken in disguise it is good way to escape being killed i'snt it? At the same time he could recruit those black tower guys to Shaitan.

I like Mat, but I don't like Perrin so much and I hope Faile dies horribly. In fact I hope that Rand dies at the end of the series too .

Well now thats what happens when you don't pay attention to your own thread. Wow.

Yes I must respond to several points. first off is Moraine's (quote) death (un-quote). I belive that Moraine is alive, just not with us at the moment. Jordan will work her back in somehow. secondly mat is by far the best character in the series and i think that he is not anywhere near the end of his troubles. Esspecialy with the seachan. Third, while the series did seem to drag on at some points I still felt enthralled by it and the way he works in so many fine points. And it has become one of my faviorate books. On to another point, Mazim Taim, he seems odd in some way. He knows too much, is taking too much power and, just seems like the perfect hidden enemy in Rand's ranks. Mayhap a forsaken killed him and put an an inverted weave upon himself to make him look like Taim?? (I doubt THAT but you get the idea.)

My own idea on how the seris will end is that somehow Rand will live. Don't ask why i don't know it just seems (to me) that he will.

Man I wish I had remembered I had posted this thread as I could have responed my ideas more directly after someone else said something. And I could have went into more depth with responses.

BTW Black Knight--
Sorry! didn't know someone else had it!

Ive read all 9 twice, working on the third round as we speak. I didnt think any of them were boring. Book 10, is rumored to be called Crossroads of Twilight, and RJ said most likely will be released this Nov.

A few spoilers:

I thought it was made clear that Taim was Demandred he's one of the last male Forsaken still around (Osan'gar, or Dashiva, was killed in Book 9) unless the Dark One has resurrected even MORE of them... and it fits if Taim is one of the Forsaken.

I finished book 9, a couple of weeks ago. Read the whole series back to back. I was avoiding this thread, fearing spoilers. But that's beside the point:

I just wanted to point to an answer to the question about Moiraine that Dreamer123 asked.

SPOILER

In A Crown Of Swords, chapter 35, fourth paragraph.
The "woman who is dead and gone" is obviously Moiraine. Thus Rand will "almost certainly" fail without Moiraine. You can argue that the "woman" is Lanfear, but if one of the two is alive, well so is the other.
Watcha think ?

END SPOIL

My points exactly Koz and Warhammer!

Taim (IMO) is almost definitly a forsaken and moraine WILL come back.
My argument is just as Warhammer said.

but then agian its only IMO.
