I have finished Ilse Witch, and found it to be great, although I do see what you're saying, Kinslayer. Despite this, I couldn't put it down, and just got Skies of Pern out a few days ago. I am waiting for a day when I can read uninterrupted to begin it.

Isle Witch continues the Shannara series? I did not know that. I will have to go to the bookstore and pick up a copy. Thanks Lioness for this post.

Finished Skies of Pern, it was excellent, as expected! i REALLY THOUGHT IT WAS NICE IN THIS ONE, THE DRAGONS HAVE MORE OF A PERSONALITY OF THEIR OWN, NOT JUST THEIR RIDERS.

oops...i hate caps lock.

Here's the my problem:

1. I only buy paperback
2. I read all the books in the series again before I can read the new one...

Should be a long time coming, but well worth the wait!

thanks for the update on Pern, though!

I read Ilse Witch as soon as it came out. Pretty good, but Brooks isn't too high on my list of favorite authors anymore. I did enjoy the book, don't get me wrong, but I also bought and read at the same time The Redemption of Althalus by David Eddings and his wife and found it much more interesting. I do look forward to Brooks' next book because the ending in Ilse Witch was a terrible place to stop!

I definitely agree with you Khanar about the ending. If you go to www.terrybrooks.net you can get a chance to read Amtrax early!!! Check it out if you are interested.
