Actually, Level 14 will be ripped out, and replaced with a new tileset. That level will be moved to a smaller 'offshoot' from another area.

We going to see L1-60 Player Characters? Or are we going to have to struggle against the bigger monsters?

It's all about the struggle. That's part of what makes it fun. To touch on those real dragons in Undermountain too, back in the local vault days, it was a major accomplishment to thump Ol' Red on lvl 9. In fact, epic battles were waged against that monster. When you beat him, you had a sense of accomplishment that was really sweet. It was also the last thing to do, as no other lvls had been completed. We used to log in when ever we could catch the server up too, to see what, if anything had been added. Ah, the good old days...

Bigger...*gasp!*....deadlier...*gulp* Whoa!

I'm gonna have to get my hubby to find some spare time to wander the Undermountain soon!

And I agree, it's a fantastic site and even though I can't get on as often as I used to, I LOVE IT!

Now if I could just avoid getting my pc lost or killed off all the time...

You know, you can always send me the old machine when you get yourself the new one. It's only a few provinces over... *grins wickedly*

Dedicated dieing is what I seem to do best in Undermountain.

But I come back from holiday refreshed and ready to do battle yet again. I'm probably the only one here relieved to see that the new hakpak is not out yet. I'd have really hated to miss out while I've been away.

Must have a look at the new thread on cancelled characters. I have quite a few that don't work now but with new weapons and enemies in the offing I am a bit reluctant to delete anything that coud become useful with new equipment.

The hint about a Metal Mage and minions is worrying. Perhaps if I ask nicely, Z might think about building an even bigger mace than the Drow hellfire for us poor underequipped meat shields.
