Oh really? I think there are tons of hints and tips people can come up with. Ways to take out each boss, what items are good, and so on....

Come now, give the game some credit (a VISA gold would be nice)
[/QUOTE]Wouldn't you really rather have a platinum???

Another tip, which I have passed on to myself time and again while in game, stay away from portals that you don't know where they go, and also, some of them that you do. I was trapped on lvl 12/11 for 3 days because the server wouldn't reset, and I was a lvl 12 rogue. Now, I did come out of there ok, and much stronger, think I was lvl 19 when I finally restarted in the inn, but I died many times, and some of them weren't pretty. Why trapped, you may ask, because you need a key to get back to 10, and I didn't have it.
Which is another good tip, I think, when you get a key, keep it, you never know when you may need it.

1. You are making you way steadily through undermountain and come out of level 7 pumped up with xp, leveled up and ready for anything. Unfortunately you may not be ready for level 8. Treat with extreme caution.

2. Find an item with true seeing. There are assassins and monks out there that will give you a nasty surprise if you don't.

3. If you see more than three lizardrealm archers together and you are still alive then find another way through.

4. Bone Golems don't like chain lightning or IGMS but it still takes a lot to bring them down.

5. The Magister's Staff in Durnan's inn is a very handy item if you have 2m gold to spare.

1) Dwarven armor of enhanced protection +10!
2) Lens of detection.
3) True seeing, it's a must, you'll die without it (You will with it too, but not as much).
4) If you're a spellcaster, make sure you have atleast some melee abilities, otherwise you'll run out of spells faster than you can scream EEEK!
5) Immunity deathmagic is your best friend.
6) Don't get bothered too much by dying, it happens a lot in undermountain.

Load your quickslots with and edged weapon, blunt weapon and a bow so you can easily switch between the best weapon choice.

The best combo to take out the High Wiazrd on Level 12 is a shot of Mord's Disjunction, a shot of Harm and a shot to the head.

Well I have not adventured far in undermountain yet, just the 1st lvl area, but some of the things I would recomend have been stated above like.
1-Bags to hold gear
2-Lots of pots for, non spell caster types
3-Good pick of skills and feats to max your potential
4-Buy some good gear to start out.
5-Stay close to the portal, just in case you need to make back up in a hurry...speaking for exp..LOL
6-If it's not nailed or belonging to someone take it and sell, sell, sell.......me I clean out the 1st lvl floor when am around.....I should change my name to The Cleaner.....LOL
7-And last dont be an arse, let others enjoy the game, and if you see there running away from something they cant handle.......chances are you can't too.....so make sure you make it first to the stairs.....LOL
*******well will add more as I venture forth and die in undermountain******* :--)

That last is a better tip than you know, remember, you don't have to outrun that green dragon on lvl 8, you just have to outrun one of your party members...

This may seem elementary, but I didn't think of it - make sure to have immunity to fear items, especially before going down to level 9.

tip on the tip, immunity to mind affecting spells will confer immunity to fear, as fear is a mind effecting spell/condition. It is, however, highly recommended, a long way before lvl 9. Umber hulks on lvl one come to mind...
